"We stayed in Aurora on 24 Sep & again after returning fr Uluru on 28 Sep 2007. Hotel allowed us 2 store our big luggages with them b4 leaving for Uluru. Hotel is very centrally located. A key, attached w the rm key, is needed to access shortcut via the hotel restaurant 2 the mall. Althou we've asked for a no smoking room, on 24 Sep, we were given a dimly lite smoking rm. Luckily, the smell was bearable so we put up w it. However, the kettle had loads of white deposits. It was 8pm, I called the reception for almost 5mins, no one picked the call so we walked 2 the reception 2 ask for a chg. The lady @ reception said it's like that as tap water in ASP has mineral deposits. My hubby insisted a chg & she finally relented, searched the kitchen & found a clean one for us. The stay on 28Sep was better. We were given a bigger, brightly lite, non smoking rm, but the kettle has the same white deposits. This time we just forgo the hot drinks. Ideal location to stay."

"Rooms have sliding glass doors that open to a central walkway. There was no other source of light in the room therefore you cannot have both natural light and privacy"

"A very nice clean centrally located hotel in the middle of the outback. The Ochre resturant is very good with high quality adventurous menu. The pool and spa is small but adeqate and BBQ and picnic areas are supplied inside the hotel courtyard. Altogether a very pleasent stay"

"This is very much a budget hotel, but at least it's in the middle of Alice Springs and therefore near to shops and restaurants. The hotel is pretty old and basic but served our needs. We were only there for a night, and probably one night is all you need in Alice Springs. "
