"I would recommend this accomodation to people as a base - all be it an expensive base but there really no other option if you want to see Uluru and the lovely surrounding area. It is ideal if there are a few of you - excellent facilities and clean and spacious."

"The trips to Ayres Rock were well worth doing"

"Uluru was amazing and we are very glad that we decided to visit during our travels across Australia. However, we had only 2 nights to spend at the resort and arrived at 9.30am on a scheduled flight from Cairns so that we could get the most out of our two days. We were dropped at the Dessert Gardens at around 10.15am by the excellent courtesy bus service. On checking in, we were told that our apartment would not be ready until 12.30 so we left our baggage and went to find a coffee shop as we'd been on the road since 4am. At 10.30am none of the cafe's or shops were open for us to browse or to sit in and so we had to purchase take away coffee and sit outside waiting around doing nothing for the next 2 hours. On our return to collect our room key we were told that the room would not now be ready until 2pm leaving us another hour and a half to wait. Before we had returned at 12.30, we had been to the information centre and booked our tours - the first one was due to leave at 3pm that afternoon and we still had to shower and change after our journey from Cairns. Eventually we received our key (only one available!) at 2.40!!! leaving only enough time to throw the bags into the apartment and get back ready for the pick up. This experience did mar an otherwise great trip to the red centre. "

"At Uluru/Ayers Rock, you're really limited as to where you may stay and the accomodations available. We stayed at the emu Walk Apts., which were clean and tidy. The 2 bedroom apartment had a nice kitchen and eating area, the bedrooms were very very small, the bathroom was a good size, and the living area was furnished with two small couches. For the amount of money spent, I would expect more, but since there aren't many other places to stay right in the area, you don't get very many choices. There are several restaurants in the complex, we ate at Gekkos one evening...not too bad. The second evening we ate a Kuniya (based on Conde Nast ratings) but were terribly dissapointed. I thought the amount charged for a main was (average US $50.00) way over the quality given and the service was horrible. We had to practically beg for more water and ended up pouring our own wine...we were going to order another bottle, but they never showed up to ask if we wanted one. My advice, eat elsewhere."

"Resort complex was beautiful & apartment was very nice, but check in was a problem. It was 8 pm by the time we got there and they had no way of knowing which rooms were cleaned and could be assigned. Had to wait 2 hours for a room. The girl at the front desk kept asking for my credit card and was huffy when I told her that when she could give me a room, I would let her have my card. The evening manager was very nice. It turned out Asia rooms had made our reservation for the NEXT month, but he was able to accomodate us. Apartment had a few very dim lights, a problem for someone who reads. Kitchen as nice, bathroom very nice. A long way to haul our luggage and it was hard to find a parking space. Supermarket great, restaurants tended to be out of things on the menu."

"Only stayed one night, only complaint is that accommodation very overpriced, we spent a week in a very nice 2 bed apartment in both Port Douglas and Sydney for only a fraction more than it cost us for 1 night in Ayers Rock."

"For 293 euros, the hotel proposes sofa and rollaway beds for my daughters. For my wife and myself we only have a queen bed. The room was cold and if we started the heating system, the noise was so high it was impossible to sleep. I don't recommand this hotel at all"

"Two couples shared this very spacious two bedroom apartment where we could prepare meals when we wished. Stayed two nights."
