| "We liked the central position of the GCH near the city. We enjoyed the kindness of the staff, especially Jo. The room was quite comfortable. The only thing we could not enjoy was the noisy traffic in the streets below. " |

| "The room was of a decent size, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent but I was disappointed in a some areas these being:-
1. lack of information on your web site re extra charges for facilities provided free of charge at other hotels i.e vehicle parking & free to air t.v. channels. I missed the NRL grand final.
2. in searching the web for hotels in Brisbane all the information on your hotel was channeled through Asia Rooms & did not cater for Australian residents & no Brisbane phone number was listed." |

| "On arrival I found a used face washer siting on the mini bar - not good. Cupboards were open and it seemed that the staff had not finished preparing the room from the previous gests. The bathroom was too small, very pokey and the door was an issue. This issue could be easily resolved by changing the swinging door to a sliding door into the bathroom, it would allow much more use of the space in there.
Overall it was a nice stay, the staff were friendly and service was good. Food was excellent. I particularly liked the private balcony arrangement - very smart architecture." |

| "Hotel is up a hill and on the outskirts of the centre of the city so is a little taxing as a walk back after an evening meal or in the heat of the day. Very small bath and low toilet in the bathroom. The one star feature for us was the really excellent breakfast which fully set you up for the day.
I personally would not rate this as a four star hotel. " |

| "A fairly comfortable hotel at the top of Spring Hill, making it not so easy to walk into town for those who are unfit or slightly infirmed, though it didn't pose any problem for us. 15 minute walk there, 20 minute back. Good views over the city from the rooftop pool. Good sized rooms, reasonably well-appointed." |

| "The hotel was not as well situated as I had imagined. We would have preferred a hotel closer to South Bank, but not being at all familiar with Brisbane, the location of your hotel was not quite what we wanted. The fault probably lies with us for not having done our homework properly! The walk into the city and back I found to be fairly strenuous.
We dined in your restaurant one evening, and found it to be wanting in the sense of value for money. The portions were mean in relation to the prices charged.
Otherwise all else was quite satisfactory, from housekeeping to reception. Your staff was helpful and obliging." |
