| "My wife andI stayed at Hotel George Williams in early Feb 2008.The hotel is run by the YMCA and it offers very good quality accomodation at a sensible price. It is well located being close to the river and both railway stations. The downside is the actual size of the rooms, they are very small, anyone with more than an overnight bag will have a problem with storage. That said it was very clean and comfortable, the Reception staff were polite, friendly and keen to provide any assistance.
The hotel has a nice restaurant. " |

| "The Hotel is ok. The only thing that I did not like it, is we've put the sign to clean & I did double check the sign for them to check but when we came back from our day trip the room was'nt clean, and the signed was do not disturb it says, not sure if someone is teasing us or not but was happen third times in a row within 7 nights that we stayed.
Thanks,

| "The hotel was fine, the room was a little small. The people working the front desk were friendly and helpful. Great location to get to the train and Queen Street Mall. Secure elevators so a safe place to stay for people traveling alone. Wireless internet access available. I would stay here again." |

| "This hotel is the YMCA in the area. So all the YMCA pros and cons apply. It is a strickly non-smoking hotel which is annoying for a smoker like me. Services are minimal but the location is relatively central. Staff are friendly and informative. I was given a disabled room which I also found annoying. One of the problems with this hotel is the parking. There's not much parking available at the hotel and it's allocated on a first come basis. I had to resort to parking my car and then not moving it for the whole duration of my stay. Also getting into the carpark is very hard for people who drive larger cars as its really a tight squeeze. The hotel has a restaurant which is really expensive (even for Brisbane standards) and I only ate there once. The quality of the food was good but for the price I'd expect silver service. This hotel is best for backpackers on a budget who don't drive cars and wont be eating at the hotel." |

| "Value for money as hotel is located within shopping amenities, food and entertainment outlets. Hotel staff service is very pleasant and helpful at all times. Recommended stay for those who loves to shop but don't mind the small room size. " |

Not a huge problem though.
