The location of the hotel is great with convienient store, internet shop, ATM, cinema and pharmacy in close proximity of the hotel. It is within 5-7 minutes walking distance to queen street in the CBD. The hotel also has wireless internet connection and a very nice western restaurant next to the lobby. Room is clean and restroom as well, however, size of room is a bit small and little space for luggage. This hotel is excellent for budget travellers and others who want to stay near the CBD. Staff are very helpful and friendly.I would most likely stay in this hotel again.

| "My wife andI stayed at Hotel George Williams in early Feb 2008.The hotel is run by the YMCA and it offers very good quality accomodation at a sensible price.It is well located being close to the river and both railway stations. The downside is the actual size of the rooms, they are very small,anyone with more than an overnight bag will have a problem with storage. That said it was very clean and comfortable,the Reception staff were polite,friendly and keen to provide any assistance.
The hotel has a nice restaurant. " |
