| "great location close to CBD and river.
When booked asked for river view - got a good one on the 15th floor.
Parking: - good value parking at sister hotel 50 metres around the corner.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Full buffet breakfast very good. If you book when you arrive at the hotel you get a $5 discount.

| "Ibis Brisbane probably best suits the business traveller. Location is very central. My only real quibble was to find I'd been allocated into a smoking room and then the only non smoking room available to me was up on the 16th floor to which there was no lift!" |

| "We's come to Brisbane to attend a show at the QPAC and for this the hotel was perfect as it was only a short stroll to the theatre's location at South Bank. The room was a very generous size and very clean with every amenity necessary. We would definately stay at the hotel again." |

| "My only negative comment is that I enquired about the Accor programme and was advised to download information on the net. I feel a brochure should have been available for me to complete at the time and offer any relevant discounts to my bill." |

| "The room is relatively small, the right size for couples but not families. The location is good! Near to the shopping area and the Roma St Train Station, which is convenient if taking train to Gold Coast is next." |

| "1. Polite reception, however, on THREE different days we received THREE DIFFERENT pieces of advice on the SAME SUBJECT!!
First day - asked about late checkout and availability of luggage storage (we were to check in at the Formule 1 at Hendra for an early morning departure from Brisbane airport back to NZ). We were told we could exit at 2 p.m. and use the lockers for our luggage.
We found that the lockers weren't big enough for our luggage.
Second day - asked about late checkout and luggage - and were told we could checkout at 12.30 and leave the luggage at the back of reception, but there would be a charge $10.00 per hour for checkout after 12.30. It was supposedly recorded on computer. DONE said the receptionist.
Third day - day of departure - were told late checkout was 12 midday, luggage could be stored behind reception, but there would be a charge of $20 per hour for every hour after noon, and another night's charge if after 5 p.m.
We checked out at 12 noon, and left our luggage - while we finished looking around Brisbane before getting a taxi to Hendra.
MAYBE: Have a SET RULING for late departure and luggage storage - so that ALL staff say the same thing!!
2. Advice to people arriving by car:
We spent an HOUR trying to get into Turbot St. - newcomers to Brisbane we had a map but got confused with all the one-way systems, and no right hand turns, and no left hand turns!!! It took us an HOUR to get to the entrance of the Ibis!! It would be very helpful if on your booking acceptance you could advise people arriving by car to approach the Ibis via Ann St. and take the right hand turn into the slip road after George St. (before you get to North Quay) and enter the back entrance to the Ibis.
3. It would be helpful if on your acceptance of booking to inform guests that there is no complimentary parking at the Ibis - and that there is public parking at $12 per night nearby. When people have been touring with a hire car it would be helpful to know this - we returned our hire car a day early because of this fact!!

| "This was my second stay at the Ibis and this time I was disappointed with the room size. The twinroom was really small for two people. The 24 hour meal services took nearly an hour to deliever the food.
Last time had a better room as well as efficient service.
How ever the positive point is the central location of the hotel and to some extend the price I guess. Will stay again if dont get a better deal." |

| "My Wife and I have stayed at the Ibis on many occasions and this would be the best room we have had allocated. (The worst was a few years ago when we suffered the top floor which had no lift and at 80 years of age that is a no no.)We believe the restaurant is the only section that fails to come up to the level of expectation.
Desk staff were most obliging and helpful." |
