| "We stayed at Best western Cairns for 2 nights. The room was quite small and it was not air-conditioned. On a really hot Cairns day, this was very disappointing. The location is also not that great, although there is a small supermarket and McDonalds close by. The service can be definitely more friendly, including the in-room facilities like providing prompt re-fill of tea/coffee bags/etc. Only positive experience was the swimming pool that the kids enjoyed." |

| "The hotel was nice. It was clean and in good repair. It was much farther away from the airport and the esplanade than I expected. We ended up spending us much on Taxis as we saved on the room. So, if you are interested in being on the esplanade, you might consider another hotel. However, if you have business on the south side of town it is a good option." |
