"we enjoyed our stay. plenty to do and see in cairns. nothing in the world compares with the great barrier reef. the accomodation was clean, the servise great and the staff very friendly and helpfull. my only disappointment was that when i booked i was given the impression there was a pool and a spa. however the pool was rather small and the spa non existant."

"On arrival there was no formal greeting/welcome/hello, not convinced we got the room we asked for we were not located near our friends as requested. The rooms genuinely felt shabby, dated and unwelcoming, however, the rooms were clean and the breakfast area was a nice environment warm and friendly. "

"One of the serious problems at Queenslander Apartments was the air conditioning. The air conditioner was too old and small in capacity. We had to spend more than 5 hours to cool down the room (from 32 degress to 25 degress), which was not accaptable. The location is far away from the city centre when compared with others."

I stayed for 5 nights, room door not locked for one day after room cleaning. POOR and very insecured

| "The Queenslander appts are fine. Not exceptional, sometimes rather basic but the staff are all very friendly and knowledgable on the reef and all related options regarding tours etc. The problem is, it's a fair walk up Lake St about 8 long blocks from centre of the town which in a normal city might not be all that much but in Cairns it is. Right across from the top of the park that feeds into the esplanade. Fine place but would stay closer to centre of town if I ever returned.

"Situated within distance to the Cairns Espalande and the city centre, the Cairns Queenslander Apartments consists of 93 rooms, all with cooking facilities. There are also two swimming pools, and two spa pools on the property. The onsite restaurant offers breakfast and dinner. Guests also enjoy complimentary usage of BBQ facilities, located poolside."
