| "I thought this hotel was beautiful plenty of room in the bedrooms and bathroom a generous size. The staff on reception were very helpful and friendly. It gives you a lovely feel of the tropics with the plants that are grown around. We also ate in the restaurant and I would strongly recommend the GUINNESS PIE yum yum." |

| "We stayed at the Figtree in january 2006 for a period of 8 days and found the hotel to provide a good overall package at an attractive rate.
ROOM :The room was basic, clean, air conditioned and quiet. The hotel had a very nice rock pool and nice restaurant in which we ate on two occasions.
PERSONNEL:The staff were at all times courteous, quick and efficient.
TRANSPORT: A complimentary bus shuttle was available from the airport. A bus service is available to Cairns town (approx. every 30 mins.) and to Palm Cove (approx. every 45 mins.).
RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. We would highly recommend the 'Passion for Paradise' Great Barrier Reef Tour from Cairns harbour which was excellent. 2. We would also recommend a trip for dinner to Palm Cove which has a nice beach and attractive restaurants, some serving seafood dishes such as shark. 3. For stays above 4 days consider renting a car to explore outside Cairns. There are a number of attractive areas nearby of interest.
NEGATIVES: We cancelled a Learn to Dive course at 'Down Under Dive' as the general induction was poor and the classrooms on Day 1 were overcrowded. " |

| "As a widow beginning to travel on my own the Fig Tree was perfect for me. The receptionists were all pleasant, helpful and easy to approach. The cleaning staff were effecient and pleasant. The meal I had at the restaurant was delicious.
The information on your web-site was spot on. My stay went very smoothly. It is a place I would return to and have told my family that it would be a great place to stay also.
Thank you.
Vivienne Zsigovits.
