| " A very pleasant surprise, a real gem. Fantastic, spacious rooms, with a lot of storage and luxury, such as 2 basins in the bathroom, spa facility in the bathtub, beautiful, fully equipped kitchen, a separate living room and bedroom. And it`s all set in a tropical village atmosphere, with a number of beautiful swimming pools within the resort. You get a few vouchers as well (discounts for take-aways, etc...). It`s definitely value for money when it comes to the rooms, not quite sure if that applies to the 2 restaurants within the resort.
But overall the room and the setting were an absolute treat, clean and stunning. We would definitely return, please God.

| "It is a great place, nice service, two only problems: we found some insects on the desk of the kitchen and in the bathroom and the building does not have lift, so if you are travelling with a baby with stroller and occupy a second floor it is a rather tough to go up and down.

| "Stayed here for 3 days and had a wonderful time. Very close to airport (but not aware of noise). Arrived very early from Hong Kong but room made available by very pleasant helpful staff. Had 2 bedrooom flat and absolutely huge with all conveniences. Washing machine/tumble dryer and kitchenette. Easy to get to town - recommend hiring car - very cheap and available at hotel. Wonderful pools and facilities if you need them. Recommended without any hesitation - you will love staying here." |

| "We stayed at the Lakes Resort in late February of 2007. Because it was the off season, we got wonderful rates for really good facilities. The two bedroom, two bath condo was perfect for two couples.
The resort is not located in the CBD, but access to day trips around the region was great. I would suggest having a car. However, the resort does book tours. I would recommend this resort to those that like swimming pools, workout room, tennis court, and two good restaurants. " |

| "The Lakes Resort and Spa is fantastic. It is a well thought and laid out resort, lots of lovely swimming pools and all the facilities you could want. The apartment was great, with washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, spa bath as well as all the usual things! The staff always bent over backwards to help and the daily servicing of the room was extremely thorough. Although the resort is not right in the centre of Cairns there is a regular shuttle bus in and out of the centre. The resort is very close to the airport and is under the flight path, but we were NEVER disturbed at night as the flights stop at night, and it is not a busy airport. If I am ever in Cairns again, I will DEFINITELY be staying here." |
