My Wife and I stayed at Darwin Airport Resort for four nights in April 2006. It is ideally located right at the airport and if you have a car (the hotel can arrange car rentals), centrally located to all Darwin suburbs and facilities. The hotel has a range of accommodation and our Executive Bungalow was marvellous - great amenties, small kitchenette with large fridge. The bedroom can be closed off by a Japanese screen from the small lounge area. A small balcony overlooks the pool. The property has a great swimming pool and spa, gym and everything you would want for staying at the resort. A very tropical bar and restaurant (aircon inside) overlooks the pool. The staff were attentive and friendly and made as feel at home. We will stay there again!!

| "We were given a "business suite" which meant our room included a desk.
However we were in the two story section of the hotel where people came and went all night. ( Darwin airport operates 24 hrs.) So we were woken regularly by people banging doors and walking up and down the steps rolling their suitcases with them.
It is only ten minutes into Darwin - next time I will be finding a hotel in there for the first night." |

| "This new hotel offers an excellent location, right next to the airport, but without notable aircraft noise. It seems to be aimed at the business traveller, but was fine for our family too. An excellent restaurant really trying to make an effort in a part of Australia otherwise lacking serious kitchen expertise. Breakfasts in particular were a delight.
The downsides were that the Family Suite we booked was actually just a normal room with 3 beds. The beds were excellent (finally a longer bed than usual in Oz), but the room was small for the title of "suite".
Good front desk staff provided a quick and effective checkout. Pool is large and pleasant, though after the natural pools of Litchfield the chlorine is a shock!
The bar was filled with locals, possibly airport staff after work, which gave plenty of colour to the language. The bar staff, perhaps excusably, had no idea how to make a vodka martini and had to consult a bartenders book. Beer is the drink they spill around here!
I would recommend this hotel as a good way to round off a Top End trip." |

| "Whilst the hotel complex is very good the restaurant menu is somewhat limited. The menu contains what I would call "trendy" dishes which is good, but not to everyones taste. A few basics needed to be added." |
