"Short stay but it was clean, staff efficient and good size and location"

"Having booked our room 4 months prior to our arrival and informing them of our late check in we arrived at 3.30 AM from Singapore to be told there was no room ready for us and we would have to sit down in the lobby while they got a cleaner to make up a room. About an hour later we were given the room key. Later in the morning after a complaint to the assistant manager ( who already knew what had transpired ) we were offered a free nights accomodation at a future. We have accepted this and have a letter from the hotel confirming this. Apart from obvious staffing issues it is a good place to stay and handy to everything in Darwin."

"We stayed there 2 nights in September 2007. This place is way too expensive for the service offered; very sad looking "luxury" rooms with old fashioned standard furniture, no views, no balcony. "

"Close to town centre, bus stop and Woolworths. Nice rooms, nice pools. Some staff need a course in customer service."
5/5  Posted by MR. EAKINS, Daniel, Australia in July 2007
"Everything was fantastic, well done"

"thank you for make us able too say what we do not like. its only one thing that irritate us. i do remeber that there shuold hav been internett possibilities on the hotel. there was a coinmaskine in the lobby but it newer work and ewen whwen they told us that it should be reperd it newer happend. there was internettconektion possibillities in the room but when we come all the way from norway it will hawe been stupid to also bringing whith us an computer all this way. this meen to us that we on the hollyday hawe to go up in the town and stand waithing for using internett in the cafe. internett was the only way we could have controll with our bankaccont and bisness at home. with lowe Per. "This is a average Hotel , they do have a good pool side bar snack area Do not book direct as they do not stand buy there advertized rate on the web or stay extra nites as they charge way over the booking rate supplied by the travel booking agents left behind a item in the room , rang up to inform them and was told it would be held till i returned two days later to collect . When I returned they had lost it it No apolgies given or reason for the misplacement for the item Will never stay there again on principle "
5/5  Posted by MRS. BUGDEN, Christine, Australia in June 2007
"The room was great - airconditioned and spacious. The pool area was nice, but not enough lounge chairs available on any of the occasions I was out there. Poolside service made up for it though - very lovely and charming staff. The Timbertop Restaurant was great - lovely food, but perhaps a trifle overpriced. "

"It's within walking distance to Mitchell St, the Esplanade, and shops along Kunckey St. Across the street is a supermarket which opens till late nite. Check-in at night, it seems crowded at every corner of the hotel, carpark lots' almost full. Greeted by friendly reception staff. Room is fairly spacious, with big bathroom (no bath-tub though), and adequate room facilities. Check-out time at 10am seems too early. The room price is quite competitive as compared to other hotels around Darwin, considering the room's size and some facilities available. Overall a pleasant stay. "
