"The bathroom was a nice size and very clean the decor was just a little outdated, the room size was adequate but by no means large but plenty big enough for 2-3 people. You have the ability to charge everything to your room i.e a meal at the marina can be charged to you account opposed to paying it in the restuarant making life very easy indeed. Truly for romantics wonderful setting!"

"Place was clean and well situated on the Island I would recommend it to anyone."

"My husband and I stayed at the Reef View and had a great time. The rooms are very spacious and the view is spectacular! The beds were comfortable but the bed spreads were older. The room had a very "beach house" feel to it and was perfect for us but it was maybe not as glamorous as I would expect for a 4 star hotel. The staff was very friendly and the island was gorgous! We would love to go back and stay there again!"

"I found Hamilton Island and The Reef View to be overpriced for the product you get. The hotel rooms were a bit dated and no amenities aside from the pool were free. The basketball and tennis courts and gym all cost extra. There were no posted activities in the lobby for things to do or things that were organized on any given day. The activities desk was less than helpful at times as well. The view from the room was wonderful however."

"We were disappointed in the fact that they were doing contruction and other people had been bumped up to a different location. It was dark when we arrived and they had no outside lights and nobody working the desk or any other services. In order to find a place to eat, you had to walk in the dark to try to find a restaurant. "

"We had a wonderfull time at Palm Bungalows Hamilton Island. The resort was located at walking distance to all amenities while still providing privacy. All resort staff were very friendly and helpfull. The resort facilities provided as much or as little as you are willing to do. We will certainly be retuning in the future.. "

"Our stay was great. Majority of the staff were friendly and helpful and the Island as a whole has a really relaxed feel about it. We are looking forward to returning."

"Great base to get out and see the Reef and go Sailing but not great value for money for fairly standard accommodation. If money is no object you're probably better off here than rubbing shoulders with the backpackers at Airlie Beach. The island itself is fairly compact so suits those who don't mind being confined, book your number of nights accordingly. Grocery store is well stocked and not unreasonably priced, the 8 or so restaurants offer a fair variety and range from top end of average prices to expensive. The beach isn't as great as it looks on the pictures, especially with the tide out. Whitehaven beach is a long way to go to sit on a beach with no ice-cream shop."

"Really enjoyed my stay at Hamilton Island Resort. The room at Palm Terrace was a bit dated and needed a refurbishment. Very large room suitable for the 3 people we had staying in the room. The atompshere was very relaxing. The food we had over our two night stay was good but not probably value for money. The service was quite poor. It appeared that none of the staff were really there to help. We had to ask three times for a jug of water!!!"

"I'm not a fan of everything being in one place so it was not the place for me, for families with kids it would be ideal."
