| "We were unlucky to arrive on Heron Island during freak wet, cold and windy weather conditions. This resort does not cater for this at all. There were very few activities of which you could take advantage in the rough weather, and the room facilities were also inadequate. The rooms do not have Tvs or any heating or air conditioning.
The food and buffet were at best average. The choice was good at the breakfast buffet but is probably the worst I have tasted all year.
We decided to leave the resort early as there was no hope of a change in the weather. The major seller of the resort is the wildlife and the reef being so close. However, be aware that you will be paying 4-5 star prices for a 2 star resort." |

| "We were lucky enough to stay here over Xmas 2004 in a basic turtle room. This was comfortable enough but pretty basic. The trip on the CAT out to the island was magical and we plumped for the heli trip back, if you can afford it you must try it. The facilities and atmosphere were excellent, the food was good if a little disappointing buffet quality, ie first in gets the best choice !
Swimming, snorkelling and all the facilities were excellent as were the staff. We will return again but hopefully to a higher grade suite." |
