| "The hotel is located some 10-15 mins walk from the city centre. We got a room facing the main street and it's very noisy at night. Requests for a change in rooms were not met as they were apaprently full that day.
Certain staff are much friendlier than others but generally pleasant and courteous.
Hotel looks old from the outside and corridors can do with some brighter lighting and better furnishings. Rooms are very comfortable though and kudos to houskeeping for a good cleaning job day in day out.

| "We were very happy with our stay at the Mercure, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had the Superior room and were very happy with the size and had a lovely big king bed. The only complaint we had was we thought that the breakfast ie cereal and toast was a bit dear at $16 per head. But overall we were happy." |

| "Very nice hotel in Hobart center, near to shopping area. Staffs are very helpful. I have a big space in my room. The downside is the corridor, need renovation because it is quite monotonous." |

| "My wife & I stayed @ the Hobart Vista for 3 Nights recently. We found the rooms very comfortable & the service excellent, especially from the bar manager "Les" who supplied us with a very hard to find beer. He really does deserve a pay rise for being so friendly & efficient. He even managed to supply us with 3 bowls of wedges with sour cream & sweet chili sauce late at night, long after the bistro had shut. Well done Vista Hotel. We would gladly recommend your Hotel to anyone." |
