| " I were very appreciated for your room upgrading on 28th Jun,2008, so I were continual stay more 2 night on 29th and 30th Jun and I promptly paid.
It had some mistake when I checked out at 12.00 o'clock on 1st July, the receptionist said that I did not pay for 30th Jun. I insisted that I had already paid, I tried to explain in English for 20 minutes although I were not good at English language, he went to check the pay-in slip and he came back to said that I had already paid, be without "sorry". I were very angry but I were afraid of I could not catch the airplane in time. It made me feel unhappy on last minute.
Good bye Melbourne." |

| "The location and convenience of the hotel is excellent.
While the hotel is refurbished, it does look somewhat aged, however it's very clean and practical The only real complaint is that when my room came to be cleaned, for the whole three days my wash basin weas not wiped down. in fact i had inadvertently left one of the soap wrapers on the sink and this as left there for two days,
I get the impression this was an oversight since the shower/yoilet had been done.
Otherwise i enjoyed my stay" |

| "The location is excellent - just few minutes walk to Southern Cross station, the bus stops and taxi rand. Room is clean though facilities are minimal. Good value for money if you are on busy schedule and look for convenience." |

| "Every thing was perfect until I went to check out at 4am.
I didn't realise that you had someone on the desk all night so I locked the key to the room inside for the housekeeper to return. The man on the desk tells me that I can't have been in this room because I wasn't even checked in and that I hadn't even paid for the room which I had paid for 6 months in advance.
I didn't like been called a liar and especially didn't like him taking my credit card details.
I said that you had a learner on who was been taught to check people in and that the supervisor should have checked it better.
Apart from that I was very happy.

| "This was the worst stay ever. It was a heatwave in Melbourne and temperatures were above 40 degrees celsius all night (that's somewhere above 110 fahrenheit). The air conditioning in our room was not working. At first hotel staff did not acknowledge the problem and then gave us 'we are sorry but there is nothing we can do'. We spent the night in a 40 degree hotel room with no fan. Requests to move to another room were rejected (the hotel was presumably full). We didn't sleep for a minute all night. We were hoping to at least be allowed to check out late so we could get a little sleep in the cooler morning hours, but no luck, they wanted us out by 10am. After all this, I felt it was in order to ask for a partial reimbursement - no sucess either, it was flatly rejected.
I have traveled a lot and seen a lot of places, but this was hands down the most disastrous hotel stay of my life. I'm thoroughly disappointed with the hotel staff. The service was deplorable. Completely unacceptable for the price." |

| "This was our second stay at the Kingsgate Hotel in Melbourne and they did not disappoint. We were very satisfied with the Kingsgate, AND with our experience with AsiaRooms as a whole. We will recommend Asia Rooms to any friends who plan to travel in the region." |

| "We found the Kingsgate Hotel in Melbourne to be quaint, clean, and very, very friendly. The staff was quite helpful when we had questions or needs. It's not a posh hotel, but for our needs, it was certainly adequate, clean, and well located for access to stores, restaurants, buses, etc." |
