"Despite the fact they were a little short handed, the service staff was excellent. The hotel was near enough to the city and other attractions. Having complimentary parking was big plus point for me. The only thing that bothered me a little was you can hear the noise made in the adjoining room. I would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel was lovely. Our room was large, modern and clean. Location was great - minutes walk from all the restaurants and bars in Lygon street and only a bus ride from the city centre. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!"

"Hotel is best suited to business travellers who do not plan to spend long in rooms. Bathroom lighting very poor. Central location good and secure car parking a benefit. "

| "We were dissaponted in the room we were allocated. When we booked we preferred an upper room floor as we would be staying 4 nights. We were allocated a room on the ground floor near an area used for oustide smokers and also near an opening door that everytime someone used it to enter another part of the hotel, the door banged. We also requested a king bed as one of our party is reasoanably tall and a larger bed was preferred. The bed was smallish. Apart from this, the hotel suits our purposes as being close to the city where we carry out our business whilst in Melbourne.

"The best thing about the Travel Inn is its' location. It is very close to Lygon St. which has the best cafes and italian restaurants in the area. Public transportation is readily available to visit other parts of the city. The only draw back we found were the steps getting to the lobby. There are about 12 steps to the front door. It was difficult getting our luggage up the steps and no one met us to open the gate to the outside lift. It may be difficult for seniors to use the steps daily. Otherwise our visit was just as we expected. The rooms were clean with all the amenities we needed for a budget trip to Melbourne. "

"As we only stayed the one night we can only give an account for that one night. We found the receptionest very friendly, unfortunately we did not get a chance to use the facilities but the outdoor pool looked most inviting. If we had a complaint it would have to be the room, it had a slight smell of cigarettes. We did ask for a non smoking room but as it was a last minute booking we could not be guaranteed a non smoking room, but over all we found our stay most enjoyable and would certainly consider staying at this hotel again if we were ever to return to Melbourne. Thank you Margaret Baty. (Scotland)."
