| "The location of the hotel is fantastic - within the shopping area of the city & within walking distance of the Yarra River, South Yarra, Victoria Market and the harbour. Room was neat and tidy, and cosy for single person to stay in. Would have been ideal if there was more seating space in the room. Housekeeping staff were prompt and efficient in cleaning and tidying the room, and were always polite and helpful. Reception staff were friendly and processed the checking-in/out with professional efficiency . Breakfast was refreshing though it would have been great if some (meat) protein were served." |

| "Slightly disappointing in having to ask for pertinent
info. eg.
We arrived the weekend of Labour Day but no one thought to tell us! As a consequence we missed the parade & The MOOMBA. We got a town plan only after asking for one. Daily papers stopped after 3 days without explanation. On the other hand, staff were very helpful when asked. Disppointed to see the evidence of a bar but never found it open!

| "We were for 3 nights in Melbourne between Christmas and New Year. The Causeway seemed to have the best value for the money according to travellers' reviews and booking websites.
We were looking for a clean accomodation with breakfast in a good location. And The Causeway Inn On The Mall is not more and not less. Everything is only minutes away: supermarkets, car rentals, tour operators, public transport and shopping.
The rooms and the bathroom are quite small, and it was for us a kind of shock, since we spent before Christmas a week in the Westin Fiji, but the Causeway is not a resort, but a CBD Hotel and who spends time in a city like Melbourne will spend most of the time outside the hotel anyway. The room was cleaned daily and we even could request a newspaper which we could find in front of our room in the morning.
The breakfast buffet was included, which was a great plus, and offered toast, juice, fruits, cereals, but no hot food. On the same floor was also the internet access for 2$/15mins.
The 24h reception was very helpful and professional.
Overall we were happy having booked the Causeway Inn and recommend it. (Do not confuse it with the Causeway Hotel nearby)" |

| "The hotel is fancy, nice people and service. The only bad thing is that there is no way to get there by car or shuttle, so I had to walk to the hotel with my lugages (and I was not expecting that). But I would definatelly stay there again, because the location is excellent, and the room is awsome." |

| "This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Causeway Inn and would most certainly stay there again. Staff couldn't be more helpful - from all areas. Location is great and although the rooms are a little small they have everything you need. We always enjoy our stay. Great location for shopping, football, tours etc.

| "I stayed in Causeway Inn on The Mall early September 2007 for 5 nights.... The location is superb, in the middle of everything... The room is really old and small, is understandable for this perfect location. Checking in, we were facing with two very unfriendly staff, one doesn't even want to look at us... the one who talked to us really treated us like we are homeless and begging for a room. We were really humiliated.
Luckily only that two staffs are unfriendly.... the others are nice and indeed there was two of them are really nice.But another problems come.... the lift was broken at the 3rd day we stayed....we keep on asking when it will be fixed and they have no idea when... So the rest of our stay... become a very tiring one... especially when you have lots of shopping bag... Till the end of our stay, the lift was not yet fixed. Luckily there was a nice staf helped us with our luggages.
It's a pity ,this hotel has the most beautiful location for shopper.... it's located acrross lots of shops and really a few steps away from David Joes and Myer...
But for the facility... The spooky hallway... the very old lifts... and those unfriendly staffs.... I don't think I will ever be back or recomend this hotel to anyone again.

| "Fantastic location!! Room was reasonably small but liveable. Windows too dirty to see out of nearly. The volume button on our phone/radio was broken (was no able to listen to the radio) asked for it to be replaced and it wasn't. " |
