I wanted a room that was safe, economical and close to attractions. My father and I shared a rather small room. It was clean and quiet. The bathroom was clean but rather small. There was no cable on the TV which disapointed my father. The beds were comfortable. My rate included the breakfast which was bread, cereal, yogurt, juice, fruit. I wish they had of had some cheese, hard boiled eggs or lunch meat as well. There is no lobby, resturant or lounge. The hotel is located right in the middle of the city of Melbourne and is close to everything. As a tourist, I would probably stay there again but if I were going on business, I would stay somewhere more suited to business travelers.

| "Room was clean,very small ask for double bed and got two small single beds tv works ,but very average reception and has pay tv.
When we check in was asked if we would like the newspaper .but never received it.
breakfast was plain but nice, cereal toast fruit etc.
parking is 500 metres away ,but not free but discounted and you can't pull up out the front to unload or pickup luggage." |

| "The location of the hotel is fantastic - within the shopping area of the city & within walking distance of the Yarra River, South Yarra, Victoria Market and the harbour. Room was neat and tidy, and cosy for single person to stay in. Would have been ideal if there was more seating space in the room. Housekeeping staff were prompt and efficient in cleaning and tidying the room, and were always polite and helpful. Reception staff were friendly and processed the checking-in/out with professional efficiency . Breakfast was refreshing though it would have been great if some (meat) protein were served." |

| "Slightly disappointing in having to ask for pertinent
info. eg.
We arrived the weekend of Labour Day but no one thought to tell us! As a consequence we missed the parade & The MOOMBA. We got a town plan only after asking for one. Daily papers stopped after 3 days without explanation. On the other hand, staff were very helpful when asked. Disppointed to see the evidence of a bar but never found it open!
