| "On arrival at the hotel we were surprised as it did not look like the picture. Although its location was good as it was very near to shops and restaurants our room (412) was very noisey, particularly at night, as we were told there was no double glazing. The room was very minimalistic and not what we thought a "Boutique" hotel should be especially as we had a Superior King Spa room
It is not a hotel for budget travellers as it is too expensive, neither is it good for romantics as it is too noisey.
The laundry service in the hotel was appalling and expensive - some of our clothes were returned to us in a very bad state - very creased, even though they had been ironed. The hotel tried to telephone the company but got no reply so there was nothing they could do.
However, the staff in the restaurant were good - particularly Emma and Jill on Reception was very helpful indeed. We thoroughly enjoyed the continental breakfast - muesli and pancakes were delicious.

| "We did not stay at the Marque as we arrived at 12.30pm
and there were approx 200 people outside the venue as the hotel is above a night club.We felt apprehensive as people were very loud." |

| "The location of the hotel is great if you don't want to stat in central Melbourne. It is easy to get into the city but St. Kilda has its own atmosphere and does not feel very touristy. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and the room is very comfortable. There is a great car park at the back. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to go to in the evening so you do not have to head back into the city. " |

| "Accommodations were quite nice - bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in in a long while. Wireless Internet (quite costly) was badly implemented, though: we had to sit on the floor next to the front door in order to get a signal at all, and even then the signal faded in and out.
The restaurant and bar were clean and well-appointed and completely empty of patrons most of the time!
The staff were friendly and generally helpful.
Location was ideal; we would consider staying here again." |

| "Very nice, clean place with secure parking. We were in St. Kilda twice during our vacation and were supposed to stay somewhere else on our return. We liked the Marque so much the first time, we changed our accomodation reservation so we could also stay on our return trip." |

| "The Marque is a boutique hotel ... well, they got the 'b' right anyway. Reading the description on the web and then reading the brochure found in the hotel, you could be forgiven you were about to experience something quite special and unique. You would be wrong. 'b' stands for budget and this would be the best way to explan this hotel. To be fair, there is nothing wrong with this hotel at all and, if this is the price you can afford, then its OK, just don't expect anything flash. The rooms are basic and dull, the bathrooms cheaply finished. Yes, there are wine glasses in the room and Bulgari bathroom products but these alone don't make a boutique hotel. The location was great, bed comfortable, room quiet and it did the job as far as somewhere to stay is concerned but, adding the woefull service from the downstairs cafe, if you can afford to pay more, do so." |
