| "I think the hotel needs to have a clear address as Little Bourke St and Swanston st can both be used for entry. Entry via Little Bourke looks like an alley and most taxi drivers do not know where to stop. Signage is an issue.
A larger bathroom is appreciated for future. " |

| "Service was very below average, rooms were dirty and needs a good clean. Carpets were disgusting. The air-con is quite noisy and the neighbours were even worse!" |

| "The location is perfect to walk around the city center. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. The security is good because only people who have the guest card can press the floor button on the elevators and open the main entrance after 10 o'clock by inserting the card. Of course the reception is open for 24 hours, though. I can't say anything about the restaurant but I found that $10 was added as the delivery charge for one room-service. I was a bit disappointed about the room floor and the room, itself.(Standard room which has one queen-sized bed) The corridor of the room floor is so narrow and the room is very small including the bathroom. The interior is basic. No sofa or writing table, no space to put them. The voice outside the room was easily overheard, so I didn't feel very comfortable although the room was clean and tidy. However, this hotel has value for people who spend most of their time being outside because of the location and the reasonable room rate." |

| "We stayed at the Mercure for 2 nights on 14/16 jan, although a city centre hotel which is ideal, the hotel
is certainly in need of updating, the rooms that we were allocated smelt fusty, rooms door were to flimsy and did not stop any noise from the corridor. The rooms were very small" |

| "Location is excellent. Suitable for short stay as room is small.
Facilities are basic.
However, as it is in the central of Melbourne, it is very very convenient. " |

| "My family and I had had a good stay at the Mercure Welcome. The front office staff was cheerful, helpful and polite. We were able to get our room reasonably quick eventhough our arrival at the hotel was much earlier.
Some comments about our Superior Room: There was not enough chairs for the three of us. Only one dining and one sofa chair provided. There was no power point where we can put the kettle on in the kitchenette. My husband ended up plugging on the kettle either next to the TV ( which was pretty risky!) or on the floor next to the door.
Location-wise, this hotel wins hands down. Shopping malls are practically at the door-step, and our favourite newly-found HALAL restaurant is just a stroll away in Chinatown next door. Sans the above shortcomings mentioned above, we will consider coming back for another stay one day." |
