"Good value for money and good location. Extremely appreciated the help from the friendly staff. I booked a seaview room without checking the number of beds that they offered assuming they will have two twin beds. However, the full seaview room only have Queen sized bed. I checked in very late at night and I was shocked and stood there like a post. The lady and the duty manager did all their best to check all possibilities. Even though it was all my fault in giving the incorrect information to cause this inconvenience, the staff were so friendly and helpful to accommodate our needs. Though at the end we have a partial view of the beach, our party was very happy ! You can drive or take a walk to Acland Street for breakfast or dinner. The St. Kilda bath across the road is another alternative for the closed swimming pool. Strongly recommended."

"This hotel has an excellent location, and the letter from the Manager that we found in our room on check-in indicated that the rooms are being refurbished. This is excellent news, as the location is only let down by the very small size of the room and the outdated decor. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. The tram access was great and there was a constant supply of taxis."

"We have stayed at this hotel twice, booked through your company. It is one of the best Novotels we have stayed in. Service was excellent as were the meal wchich we took in our room. When we arrived there was no coffee, but one phone call to house keeping and this was rectiofied immeditaely. An excellent hotel and staff."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Novotel in St. Kilda. It offered us convenient location for our needs, with walking distance to all restaurants and shops. A tram ride to the city and beyond was also a bonus. We love being close to the seafront and would have no hesitation in staying at the Novotel which we thought was excellent value for money."

"I just felt the $10 a day fee for car parking was a bit over the top, otherwise it was all very good."

"The staff are friendly and welcoming putting us in connecting rooms and accomodating our teenage children very well. The view was outstanding we could see St KIlda peir through the many large palm trees. The hotels close proximity to the shops, restaurants, public transport (trams go right paste the door) and tourist attractions of ST Kilda make it the perfect choice for travellers to Melbourne who prefer not to stay in the city's heart. A stroll along the esplanade is a relaxing thing to do. The undercover car park is convient to use. "

"My husband and I stayed in a bay view suite with pleasant views of the Esplanade and Port Phillip Bay. Whilst the bathroom was in need of renovation, the room was quite adequate. The location is great, a few minutes walk in one direction to the restaurants and cake shops (to die for) in Acland St and then more restaurants and bars in the other direction. Don't bother ordering breakfast, hit Acland St instead! The tram stops right outside the hotel and tickets can be purchased at reception. The trip into the CBD is about 25 minutes where one can then hop on the free tram and bus service, both useful ways to orientate oneself around the city. Additionally, there is an airport shuttle that stops at the front door at a cost of A$15 per person, and on Sundays, there is an art and craft market directly across the road. All in all, it was a very convenient and enjoyable introduction to Melbourne. "

"The people at the reception are very helpful and friendly"

"We had a wonderful stay due to the lovely receptionist Alice who checked us in . She was the most heplful we have every encountered in our travelled and went the extra mile to help us out in many situations, directions, eating places, maintenance to our room when power went she even came up to our room with the maintenance man to fix our power. Very very good at what she does and that is worth so much in the hospitality industry. The ladies who cleaned our room always left it so tidy we thank them for there wonderful job as well. It was very pleasant to come home to. The position of the Hotel is just fabulous opp the beach and right opp a tram line so easy for transport into the City. Thankyou for making our stay so wonderful. Regards Suzy & John Currie. "
