| "Did not feel got value for money. Staff tried but was not very helpful in their recommendations, especially around diving and rain forest trips. Other hotels with equal quality were less expensive (even after the internet discount). Restaurant was a disappointment and too expensive, with marginal service." |

| "We found the facilities good even though they were renovating. Service was good too with very helpful staff. We felt that the hotel was a bit tired looking and needed up dating (which they were doing with the restaurant) The bed in our room was King Size but really uncomfortable (hard)...so much so that I ended up with a very sore back and on the last night slept with the cushions from the chairs on top of the bed.....not good when paying that sort of price! The position of the hotel was excellent being across from the beach and close to the main restauaurants and cafes." |

| "We loved our stay at the beautiful Sebel Reef House in Palm Cove. Palm Cove is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed in and the Sebel Reef House matches it. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, the rooms have all amenities, there are three pools and two whirlpools, but one of things that made our stay outstanding was the warmth, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They couldn't do enough for us, asked up about our trips every day and, in general, made us feel like we were special guests. The hotel includes round trip transfers to the airport in Cairns which is 45 minutes away.
We had originally planned to stay in Cairns and, after visiting it, were sooo happy we decided not to. We didn't like Cairns at all and there was no comparison between it and Palm Cove. All of our trips ran out of Port Douglas, anyway, so we were much closer in Palm Cove.
I would highly recommend Sebel Reef House and Palm Cove. If I win the Lotto, I'm buying an apartment in Palm Cove!" |
