| "The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The duty manager immediately acceded to our request by securing for us a room change when we requested for a room on a non smoking floor.
The hotel is just five minutes walk from the city centre giving us access to shops and cafes.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay in Mecure." |

| ""Hardware" Overall is ok but the "Software" was bad experienced and there are tons of room to improve:
1) Can you believe a 4 stars hotel can have a WRONG exchange rate? Immediately I informed the lady in front desk it was wrong but she "show me her face" like im making trouble to her, instantly, the duty manager knew it is wrong.
2) I have asked front desk to call a taxi and they informed me that due to rain day, it takes longer time like 20 mins. Ok, fine, we wait at the room. After 30mins, no reply at all, we decided to go down and check. They said no taxi. When we go out to the hotel front door. There are 2 taxi waiting there empty!!! Why can't they be more agility???
3) I used the internet but i remember it shall be less than 6 mins. When I checked out, I asked the bill of exact time i used for internet so to make sure they charge correctly but they are unable to provide and charge more than 6 mins.
4) When I came back to collect my luggage, as the bellhop was no around, others people treat me "transparent" and no one offer help. Later, bellhop came back, he offer a very friendly help.
Last word, people in front desk need a lot a lot training to be more professional like the bellhop.(His name is Matthew)

| "I booked Mercure hotel because I saw original RRP from other website was around $300, and to get a 50% discount I thought was a bargain!
But I dont think the room worth $300/nite, the mattress was really old and soft, the carpet & furnitures need to change too. If you are only looking for convenience location, maybe yes its a good option - walking distance to shopping area. " |

| "Very pleasant stay. Convenient location. Quality of towels was a bit ordinary and shower was not as clean as it should have been. Apart from that...staff were very nice and friendly." |

| "Our first contact with Aussies upon arriving in Australia for the first time, other than the taxi driver, was the reception of this hotel. We were warmly welcomed and efficiently dealt with. Although our requests to staff were very little, nothing was too much trouble.
Good rooms, clean, plenty of space. Well equiped with ironing facilities, fridge, tea-making etc.
Disappointed with quality of bedside radio alarm - very poor sound. Also no radio or music option on the television - could have done with an alternative to the television programmes.
Would certainly stay again if the chance arrives." |

| "The location is good as compared to the more expensive ones like Duxton or Sheraton. 5-min walk to Hay Street & Murray St Malls. Only 'complaint' are the daily buffet breakfast as the choices are limited and the lobby isn't really a impressive first-impression. Overall, good value for money if you are not particular about breakfast or fanciful hotel lobby." |
