"Overall the hotel lived up to our expectations based on reviews of the hotel we had seen. The complex is not too big but this adds to its charm and helps privacy. The rooms are comfortable with a good sized bathroom and shower. A 10-15 minute from the centre of Port Douglas and 5 minutes from te beach the location was fine with many more expensive hotels located further from PD. I would suggest that the hotel is probably not suitable for families with young children and is more geared for open minded couples but there really is little to be offended or shocked by with most guests really keeping themselves to themselves throughout our trip, as the hotel is a great resting point for exploring this beautiful part of Australia."

"One of the best hotels I’ve been staying in! it's run by an extremely friendly lesbian couple. I was staying in a garden villa with my girlfriend. There is just 12 villas which gives you very intimate feeling. The pool and bbq area is great. You can swim at night looking at the stars, make your own steak in bbq area, borrow books or dvd’s from a little library. The villa and outside bath and tropical garden was everything you can dream of to unwind and spent romantic holiday with the one you love. Highly recommended!!!!"

"You know the feeling of having been travelling for a long time, a bit nervous of what to expect of the next place visiting, arrive and discover that it is perfect, warm and make you relax instantly? Well, that was exactly what happened when we arrived at the Pink Flamingo. It is highly recommended for it´s cozyness and as extra bonus they have loads of dvd´s to watch on a rainy day. Thank you for a lovely stay, Pink Flamingo!"
