| "We stayed for almost a week at the Port Douglas Retreat. We found the accomodation to be comfortable and very convenient for amenities in the town, as it is only a short walk to the main street and wharf.
The pool and pool area was lovely. Accomodation was very good and it was nice to be able to cook for ourselves a couple of nights instead of eating out again. they also have a laundry room, with eay to use facilities. Overall we would recommend the "Retreat" as comfortable and affordable accomodation." |

| "The location of the Retreat is excellent. It is in the centre of town and everything is nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. They will help you organise a tour for no extra cost and are very well informed on the best offers. The room was clean, neat and had lots of appliances. The pool area is well kept and has a lovely atmosphere especially at night. Overall it was a lovely place to stay for anyone who is self-catering." |

| "We found the Port Douglas retreat ideal for our needs not least the use of the swimming pool especially with the hot and humid temps experienced. The access to shops and other facilities in the town was good and the help from staff most helpful.
We would commend this to any traveller wishing to enjoy this part of the Queensland coast." |

| "It is important to note that these are non-serviced units, meaning that the room only gets cleaned, and linen changed after a week. In such a hot place, when you go to the beach all the time, and bring in sand, it's not quite enough. Plus they charge for every extra toilet roll, tea bag, soap etc.you might need.
Location is good and the rooms are big, clean, with balcony. On the whole, not a bad place at all, but you need to know it's not hotel service." |

| "WE enjoyed our stay at the Port Douglas retreat. It really is more of a small aprtment than a hotel. The room only gets cleaned weekly - including new towels. Nevertheless the location excellent the friendly and informative and very good value. Spend your money going out to the reef and going to the fabulous restaurants." |
