| "The hotel is in a great position, very close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Our requests for ground floor accommodation and a king size bed were met and we were pleasantly surprised by the number of kitchen utensils provided so that we could prepare our own breakfasts and make sandwiches for lunch.
The ammenities are very good particularly the spa bath and the swimming pool with waterfall.
Because we only stayed 4 nights we didn't pay extra to have the room serviced daily but it was available.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Overall, we felt it was excellent value for the money we spent and we will return to the Regal. " |

| "This hotel is just off the main street in Port Douglas and is ideally placed for local restaurants etc. They kindly upgraded my original booking to a larger apartment with jacuzzi even before I arrived. The apartments are lovely with modern conveniences and are very clean. The free internet in the downstairs lobby was a very good feature, something no other hotel offered in our tour of Australia.
The reception staff were very friendly and excellent for local knowledge and recommendations.
Port Douglas is a lovely boutique 'village' and my favourite place in Australia, if not the world!" |

| "The Regal suited our needs exactly. It was clean, right on the main street, but at a quiet end, internet access in the building, room was very large, bathroom with large spa, kitchen was nicely laid out, well equipped, and I fixed a few easy dinners there. Grocery store right down the street. All in all, enjoyable lodging, spacious, very new and clean. Highly recommended. One of the nicest places we stayed in AU (in the medium price range) in our month-long trip." |
