The Castlereagh Boutique Hotel is an elegantly restored, heritage-listed property ideally located in the heart of Sydney's commercial, retail and entertainment centres. The hotel features a sandstone frontage and stunning heritage architecture which is accentuated by the elegant and luxurious furnishings. Holding a small but significant piece of Sydney's history, the building was the first reinforced concrete construction seen in Sydney and became the yardstick for all of the other buildings built in the 1920s. Rarely is accommodation with a perfect location and five star atmosphere offered at such an affordable rate. Hotel FeaturesGuests enjoy high quality accommodation and facilities combined with personalised service, creating an intimate atmosphere that only a boutique hotel can offer.

"The hotel is ideally located in central Sydney, within easy walking distance of excellent shops, the Opera House, Harbour Bridge etc. Hotel is well appointed and provided us with an inclusive Continental Breakfast. There is free Internet access which we found useful. The only negative point is that the bar closed early. Overall, a reasonably priced hotel, ideal for tourists."

"Excellent service in all departments. This is a very friendly hotel. I have stayed here for many years, and will continue to do so. The room was a little small, but was good value. Having a Dancing School here in Alice Springs, I will continue to bring my students. Mere Rumbal. Central Dance Theatre. "

"I wasn't too sure what to expect, but once I was at the doorway, it put a smile on my face. The man at the front desk when we first arrived could have greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome, but the surroundings made up for it, the dining room was lovely to look at, but there was really no atmosphere to it, continental breakfast was included in our booking, basic, but no complaints, the rooms were a bit tight with the large antique furniture, I didnt mind it, but my son and husband said they felt claustrophobic at first, but soon adjusted, my husband said when we come back to Sydney, just the both of us, that we will definitely come back.. I liked the little extras they gave us as complimentaries eg: free glass of wine with dinner if we dined in there restaurant and another night we were all offered 1 free drink each in the bar downstairs, which was very quiet and relaxing.. Room Service was prompt and very professional, I was very impressed to call them and they said "how can I help you Mrs ......" Overall, I would give the place a thumbs up, didnt dine here, but enjoyed the place anyway.."

"Room I had was rather small, with no view at all of anything. However. the location is central and very convenient with easy access to the city. The room had only a shower with no bath. Facilities like gym and swimming pool are not provided by the hotel, you need to access them by walking to public facilities. The plus factor is they provide a washing machine and dryer (FOC)- good if you are staying for a week or more. Room not very sound proof and can hear the activities of people in the room above you."
