Glenferrie Lodge, Sydney

"I stayed at the Glenferrie Lodge on the Valentine's Day weekend 2009 and found it quite satisfactory. The location is superb, as it borders on the Prime Minister's Lodge and Admiralty House and within easy reach of the ferry station to all major locations in Sydney. Buffet breakfast was overall good, but the fruit served were hard to bite (even bananas!), so beware of your teeth)). The staff is friendly, but reception closes at 10 p.m. and if you travel with heavy luggage you should have enough stamina to mount it to the next level from entrance as there's no lift or even luggage slide nor any porter service. My room was as tiny as a prison cell, but surprisingly cozy with a TV, fridge and nice view. Anyway, you come here to enjoy the city and you only spend nights and have breakfast in a hotel, so I definitely recommend it as it offers good value for money! Alexander, Russia."

"Very clean facilities and excellent breakfast! The staff were particularly friendly and helpful - after 2 days travelling from the UK, the room was prepared for us early to enable us to rest. Would definitely stay here again!"

"THE HOTEL WAS SUCH HORIBLE THAT I DID NOT STAYED IN THE ROOM THAT I PAID FOR !!! THE PICTURES ON THE NET SHOWED AN OLD, STYLED BUILDING BUT I EXPECTED THE INSIDE OF THE HOTEL AND ESPECIALY THE ROOMS CLEAN AND NICE. IT WAS JUST HORRIBLE !!! AND I LEFT THE HOTEL AFTER THE 5 MINUTES I TOOK TO LOOK AT THE ROOM. THE HOTEL REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME. PATRICK CLAUWAERT "

"Glenferrie Lodge in Kiribilli, a quiet and nice superb in North Sydney, is clean and comfortable but is a bit too far away from the city. Also it hasn't got private washroom and is inconvenient in this regard. Anyway it is a budget accommodation and is worth considering really."
