"When we left the Hotel, we left a notice ('Pillow Talk') with approximately the following text at the reception: "When we arrived at this hotel, we did not expect a corridor with faded and stained carpet, a room with tears in one of the curtains and in a bed sheet, malfunctioning and screeching sliding cupboard doors and non-functioning air conditioning. NB - The staff were very friendly.""

"We found the Hotel staff very friendly and helped us a lot with ideas for eating places and popular tourist places to visit during our stay in Sydney. Iwould also like to mention the Cleaning staff who were most considerate and courteous workers. It was also handy to the CENTRAL Rail station only a five minute walk from the Hotel. We also could walk towards the City Centre for shopping."

"Having stayed at the citygate Sebel a few times i find it has friendky staff who know the area and are willing to help in any matter you raise. The inservice is good and the hotel has a good atmosphere for families and business trips."

"We really enjoyed our stay at your hotel and found its closeness to Central Station to be of great help in travelling about Sydney, and would recommend it to anyone we know who planned to stay in Sydney."

"On the last day we wanted to keep the room till 2 P.M. The reception told us that it is possible if I pay 20 Aus dollars per hour afer 12 noon. I find it is too much this rate. I have stayed in many hotels in the world, I did not find such things. On tne arival day the room was not ready till 3 P.m. although 2 P.m. is the check-in time. "

"Ther was "everthing in plafe". However facilities were worn and e.g Sauna facilities not up to date. Service was friendly & good. Breakfast was slightly below my expectations. "

"Good hotel and services, friendly staff and a good location in the central part of Sydney. Not the easiest hotel to find whilst driving."

"This hotel is a ways from the center of Sydney but it is only a 5 minute walk to Central Station where you can catch a train to pretty much anywhere including downtown or to the Airports. There are also a few great restaurants and bottle shops if you walk up the hill on Albion Street. The concierge was extremely helpful in providing assistance for certain events I wanted to do while in Sydney. They gave me details and options for activities I was interested in and slipped the info under my door if I wasn't around. My room (executive suite) was very spacious and the bathroom was small, but very clean. I would also strongly recommend Brannigan's restaurant which is within the hotel as it was one of my favorite meals in Sydney. Overall, I'd say it was a very nice experience. I would recommend it to anyone traveling in Sydney because the staff if very friendly and helpful and since Central Station can get you anywhere you want to go."

"A good, clean hotel with good facilities close to central station, bus routes and ready access to both tourist and business locations. We found both eateries very accessible and good value. Brannigans on the first floor provided an exquisite a-la-carte restaurant with impeccable service. We enjoyed a very impressive meal there - one of the best meals we've had. The ground floor eatery provided excellent pub food and atmosphere with generous portions. Our de-luxe twin room was spacious, well equipped and clean. The bathroom was excellent. I would certainly consider staying there on any return trip."

"Good service and excellent value for money. About 40 mins walk from the rocks and about 15/20 mins from chinatown and darling harbour. Nice pool and sun terrace. Very child friendly - my 4 & 7 year old enjoyed the stay. Nice large rooms and we had a lovely terrace with table and chairs - but this was an exception as most rooms do not have a terrace. Request one if you can. 2 very nice restaurants and a lovely breakfast buffet. Children stay free and there breakfast was not charged either, which is a nic bonus."
