"This is a limited service hotel, with basic facilities and limited staff numbers. Check-in was slow as our room was not available at the agreed check-in time. Rooms are of 3.5 star quality. Breakfast buffet was busy with limited service (eg, guests are required to make their own coffee, squeeze their own fresh juice, slice fruit etc.) On the positive sidce, the location is excellent. We chose the location for the views of Sydney Harbour so we could view the New Year Countdown and in this regard the harbour views from our room were excellent. The hotel is adjacent to the Kings Cross railway station, and within easy walk to many fine restaurants, and parks. "

"A good medium class hotel in an interesting area with good communications by rail"

"I stayed here in June 2004 on my own. Although the hotel is in the "Red Light District" of Sydney, I saw nothing that might stop a family from staying here. My room was comfortable with fridge, hair dryer etc. The breakfast was brilliant and the evening dinner beautifully cooked and served. Even the "Eat Inn" meals, which could be ordered and sent to your room was of excellent quality. I'm planning to return to this hotel with my family next year."

"The major advantage and disadvantage of this hotel is the neighborhood. You can get the subway to downtown practically right outside the door. But the surrounding businesses have a hefty share of porn shops, backpacker hostels and bars. The streets outside the hotel are crowded on weekends, but mostly with drunks and hookers. The hotel itself is okay."
