| "The hotel's location is both good and bad. Good because you can walk from here to most of the popular tourist destinations within Sydney. (lots of steps down then up to get to most places) Bad because it is fairly close to the Kings Cross district which is a BIT seedy. The nearest train station is Kings Cross, so to get from the train to the hotel, you walk past the seedy bits!
There was building work going on next door to the hotel and the lack of double glazing meant that the noise from this and also the busy road was a little obtrusive.
Overall, not a bad experience, and I would probably stay here again, but given these comments, I don't think this hotel would be suitable for everyone." |

| "Room facilities are excellent and the view over the harbour quite breathtaking. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Apartments are conveniently situated for a pleasant stroll through the Botanical Gardens to Central Quay. Numerous cafes and bistros in the area and very close to Woolworth supermarket. Would highly recommend these apartments." |

| "The reception is open 24/7 and staff is nice and helpful. The hotel is 5min walk to King's Cross train station, bus from/to Circular Quay also stops in front of the hotel. There are a good variety of restaurants around. Get a room on the higher floors if you can: we were on 7th floor and had views on the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Priceless!" |

| "We really enjoyed staying at the Macleay. The location was great. The bus stop is practically across the street and the train station is only a short walk away. The store across the street and the Thai restaurant next door just make the stay really pleasant, specially if you are looking to stay a few days. The view from the upper floors is just amazing. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The rooms need a bit of work but overall we found this hotel to be good value for the buck!" |
