The first thing to mention is the size of the rooms, they are oddball and the first one we stayed it was like a hospital room. The TV's are mounted to the ceiling. The rooms on the George St. side are loud! The windows aren't sound insulated and you hear everything outside. I have lived in almost all of the major cities of the world and this by far, was the worst room to stay in. After we complained, they blamed our displeasure on the fact that we must not be used to that amount of noise. Hell, I have lived in the Pachinko area of Osaka and slept better! When we asked to move to another room we were told that we would have to pay an extra $50 a night. No, "we're sorry, we'll give you a discount" or anything, just I need your credit card.
This place is supposed to be a "Boutique" hotel, it is far from it and for the price we ended up paying, we could have chosen another room at any of the chains and gotten more. Thoroughly displeasing experience!

| "our room on the first night was noisy, both from streetnoise and disconoise probably from the cafe on the groundfloor.Therefore we asked for another room, this one was OK.
The service of the receptionlady on the day of our arrival was not very welcoming.
The service on day 2 and 3 was fine!
We discovered that for the same price we could have a better hotel in the neighbourhood." |

| "This hotel is on top of an all night bar where people fight and smoke outside - so if fighting or smoking outside bars all night and I do mean all night ! Is your thing, then this is the place for you. Also on a Saturday there is no need to go out to a club as it will sound just exactly like a club in your bedroom !! Excellent no need to worry about dress code for once ! " |
