"This was my second time to stay in the hotel and find the location very convenient. Service is very good from front desk to concierge. It's just that there are very few amenities available (Spa, etc.) although there are good restaurants around the hotel area."

"Overall we were pleased with our stay at the hotel as we have stayed there before. However, despite a relatively late check-in and despite the fact that I specifically asked for a non-smoking room, we were allocated a smoking room. I understand that Asia rooms cannot guarantee client's wishes and that it is up to the hotel to satisfy client's preferences but we were most uncomfortable, waiting with our luggage in the smoking room, to be re-allocated. We were asked to accept a twin bed arrangement which we refused and were eventually assigned a non-smoking room with a king-size bed which I originally requested. I might add that the common areas e.g. corridors etc on the smoking levels reek of tobacco and for non-smokers who requested to be housed appropriately, it was most unpleasant. "

"The overall was ok but its a bit unfair one has to pay $30 a day on parking would be one of the most expensive rates in Sydney."

"My college age daughter and I made the Avillion our base of operations for five days on this, our first visit to Australia. The location was within a five minute walk to Darling Harbour and close proximity to the other major attractions in the area. The room was nice and clean, but not much of a view. What I really appreciate about this hotel however, and why I would return again is because of the exceptional service provided by the Concierge staff. Almost everyday I would ply them with questions relating to a variety of topics and they always seemed sincere in their attempts to meet my needs, whether that meant running off to find me an answer or making phone calls on my behalf. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sydney and a lot of it had to do with the way we were made to feel welcome as we left each morning and returned "home" each evening."
