Traveler Rating:

  4/5

My ratings for this hotel are:

    Room
    Bathroom
    Room Size
    Facilities
    Cleanliness
    Location
    Service
    Value

I recommend this hotel for:

    Budget Travelers
    Families
    Couples/Romantics
    Seniors
    Business
    Eco Adventure

Would I stay at this location
again:

Most likely
Boutique style service in a decent size. Extremely comfortable rooms in old world charm. Pool is to die for. Service is unobstrusive, private and confidential. The major setback is location and limted views from rooms.

"Excellent hotel with very good service. Only draw back is slightly off the beaten track, but still within reasonable walking distance of main attractions in the Rocks area."

"Excellent location and the service was outstanding. "

"Superb hotel - extremely professional service. Well located for The Rocks and the CBD. Breakfast was exceptional. Room was very well appointed, as was the bathroom. Would recommend."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Observatory Hotel. We felt it was bit out of the city with a 15 minute walk to the shops, the people were very friendly and accomodating. Staying there means a lot of Taxi's. But they were always outside the door. Food and drink was expensive $15.00 for a glass of wine and $15.00 for a scotch, so there would not be too many drunk people at the Observatory Hotel."

"Only disappointment was not being able to eat at the hotel restaurant as it was fully booked - despite trying to book 24 hours in advance . I would have expected the hotel to keep some tables available for hotel guests ."
