Traveler Rating:

My ratings for this hotel are:
Room Bathroom Room Size Facilities Cleanliness Location Service Value
I recommend this hotel for:
Budget Travelers Families Couples/Romantics Seniors Business Eco Adventure
Would I stay at this location again:
Most likely
The construction was not a bother, but it did not seem to be progressing as it should.
The lighting in the room was minimal in that there was only one lamp whereas there should have been three - one on either side of the bed and another on the desk.
The cleaning staff did a good job of the room.
The desk staff were very helpful.
This The Sebel Surry Hills hotel review is the subjective opinion of an AsiaRooms customer and not of AsiaRooms.com.
"When we left the Hotel, we left a notice ('Pillow Talk') with approximately the following text at the reception:
"When we arrived at this hotel, we did not expect a corridor with faded and stained carpet, a room with tears in one of the curtains and in a bed sheet, malfunctioning and screeching sliding cupboard doors and non-functioning air conditioning.
NB - The staff were very friendly.""
"We found the Hotel staff very friendly and helped us a lot with ideas for eating places and popular tourist places to visit during our stay in Sydney. Iwould also like to mention the Cleaning staff who were most considerate and courteous workers. It was also handy to the CENTRAL Rail station only a five minute walk from the Hotel. We also could walk towards the City Centre for shopping."
"Having stayed at the citygate Sebel a few times i find it has friendky staff who know the area and are willing to help in any matter you raise.
The inservice is good and the hotel has a good atmosphere for families and business trips."
"We really enjoyed our stay at your hotel and found its closeness to Central Station to be of great help in travelling about Sydney, and would recommend it to anyone we know who planned to stay in Sydney."
"On the last day we wanted to keep the room till 2 P.M.
The reception told us that it is possible if I pay 20
Aus dollars per hour afer 12 noon. I find it is too much this rate. I have stayed in many hotels in the world, I did not find such things.
On tne arival day the room was not ready till 3 P.m.
although 2 P.m. is the check-in time.
