| "Location is in walking distance to harbour and downtown!
Room was very small and old and carpet was not very clean.
Shared bathroom was used. Bathroom was alright but nothing special.
Breakfast was good for this price.
We had to wait for 2 hours until we could move into our room even though we were told to be back at a special time. " |

| "I have worked in hotels all my life so I know the difference between good and bad service. I have stayed in budget hotels and despite the limited facilities they were able to make the experience extra-ordinarily good.
This hotel is extra-ordinarily poor!!! The receptionists especially those who checked us in (initials in the c/in card says "LC")are extremely cold and discriminating. When you come from a 9-hour flight, you expect a friendly and welcoming attitude. This girl and the Indian-looking fellow with him made me feel stupid just because the door of my room won't open when actually the housekeeper has mistakenly double-locked the room. When they ask you to fill-out forms, it comes as an order rather than a request. There were empty food wrappers under the beds, presumably from previous occupants that the room attendant just swept under. The sound proofing of the room is bad that you could hear the cars and those who speak loudly from the streets.
I can go on and on but to summarize, think again before you stay in this hotel. I will never recommend it to my friends." |

| "I have stayed here every time I visit Sydney. The facilities are simple, but safe, comfortable and clean. There is no food service beyond breakfast or lunch, but the location is such that there are cafes and restaurants within walking distance e.g. along Liverpool St or in nearby World Square. Transport is also very convenient, whether by foot, rail, bus or taxi. Excellent value for money!" |

| "firstable,i'd like to thank to asiarooms, coz it's really helpful and informatuve. about y hotel hyde park.it's good for holidays,and great for budget traveler. I booked deluxe room, not big,but comfy and enough space...it's clean,the bathroom was nice,povided wth hot water... the staff for morning breakfast were really nice, they greet people and really friendly.
The main point that its location is great!! so close to everywhere, i only need 10 to 15 mins walking to opera house and other places..so central..
eventhough this is my first 'budget hotel'..it's pretty good and comfy..really recommend this to traveler who concern about the budget" |

| "This hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The rooms are painted battleship grey, the carpets threadbare and the room dark and depressing. The beds are extremely uncomfortable with obvious springs protuding through the mattress. The beds were not made daily, just the top cover thrown over. The bathroom sink and mirror was only cleaned once during our 5 night stay and only occasionally restocked.
The only good thing about this hotel is its location to the city centre, but i will still never stay here again!!" |

| "Our only real problem was with the bathroom - it wasn't cleaned the four days we were there. The majority of the Staff were pleasant and helpful. We were impressed with the breakfast staff - they kept the tables clean and cleared things away very quickly." |
