"The staff were extremely polite and helpful - and very honest. I left my safe open with all my money in full view and nothing was stolen. My main grouse was with the wooden flooring of the room which creaked a lot. The hotel can do with more recreational facilities. But, it's a good place to chill out."

"The staff was really charming, and the rooms nice;they have been attentionated to bring us a plate of fruit for our second honey moon (we were celebrating our 8th anniversary). The food in the hotel is good but expensive compared to the restaurant in the town center. We have walked one day from the old market to the hotel and it was quite long. This is the biggest problem of this hotel. In Tuktuk it takes only 5 minutes but we had to bargain again and again. You can have a way and back in tuk tuk for 6 US dollars. If you pay more it means that you have been a nut! LOL! Don't forget to buy mineral water and to have spray against the mosquitos there if you don't take any pills against the paludism!!! It's better also to have a professional guide to visit the temples of Angkor Vat The price for one day with a professional guide plus a car is roughly 55 US dollars so it's not expensive at all but you will have to pay anyway the tickets entrance for the temples. The best is to buy a two days entrance if you stay at least 3 days in Siem reap. For the restaurant we recommand you the restaurant Amok and the Tigre de papier and the Malraux .But there is so many good restaurant that you will find what you expect according all the budget.A meal cost roughly 5 US dollars . For 3 people we used to have a starter that we shared and a cocktail each one and a meal and sometimes a dessert for 40 US Dollars maximum. I hope that all this information will help you. "During stay in November there was Renovation work being carried out in buildings near the swimming pool, resulting in much noise and also nauseous odours from chemicals. We wouild not have stayed there had we known this. A few issues with the efficiency of the reception staff, although very friendly and appearing to be helpful, requests did not happen .Also, when they did not want to accept payment by credit card, they did not actually make the transaction, but told us our card had been refused. This cost us £10 sterling in telephone calls to the credit card company to find out the 'problem' "

"The Apsara Angkor hotel is a very friendly & welcoming place to stay. The staff are fantastic ! Very friendly & helpfull. The gardens and pool area are right off the pages of a glossy tourist magazine. They are absolutely beautifull with their Coy ponds and water features. A great place to spend time, cool down, relax, swim, read a book etc. The rooms with balconies overlooking the central garden / pool area are brilliant, the balcony for spending a lazy evening with your loved one, enjoying a sundowner. Breakfast was okay. Nothing to write home about, but sufficient. The coffee at breakfast was hideous ! This, I have to add, was our experience throughout the whole of Cambodia and Thailand. How much can decent coffee cost !! But hey, it makes such a difference ! Hoteliers of S/E Asia, please take note !"

"My girlfriend and I came here for 1 or 2 weeks and stayed 2 months. The staff here did everything they could to make us at home including fruit baskets, bottles of wine and a romantic dinner for 2 in the gazebo. A good escape from the craziness that is Siem reap. Very happy."
