"Close enough to walk to town for dinner, or take a quick tuk-tuk ride, and in a quiet street. Pool was lovely and rooms nice and clean. One small thing - the bathroom was dark, kept trying to turn the light on! Overall a great place to stay."

"Location was good- easy walking distance (10 mins) to busy eatery part of town but far enough away to avoid the noise. Reception desk were pretty ordinary- we were asked to wait around reception while our pre-booked, pre-paid room was made ready (1:30pm). After waitng 1 1/2 hrs and questioning the staff we were told its already available... Same for a delivered article- no notice it had arrived even though we kept going past to pickup/drop off key. Morning restaurant staff particularly friendly and attentive which made up for reception's coolness. Really enjoyed going to breakfast! Overall pretty good value."

"I traveled with a group of friends, and we had 2 rooms, one with just a double bed, which was quite small (average size bathroom), and a room with 3 twin beds! Massive. Being in the large room, I was very happy with the space provided. The bathroom in the large room was also big, but it had no shower curtain. No big deal, but expect a very wet bathroom! Overall the facilities were very good. A/C, T.V., hot shower, pool, bar, lobby etc. Aesthetically, it was also very nice, the pond and 'bed swing' nearby fit in well with the atmosphere. It is a clean place, especially by local standards. The rooms were also cleaned well. The location to the main segment of town is about 5 - 15 minutes away on foot (depending on how you are at crossing roads :D). Being in my 20's, this was not a problem, but if you do not want to walk, there is also a 'tuk tuk' option close by. Service was reasonable. Breakfast was good, but lacked meat. Options include a pancake or a few kinds of egg with a baguette all served with good tropical fruit. It was good, as mentioned above, but a slice of bacon or a sausage wouldn't have gone astray. The bar is good, and the opened late for us to drink, or continue drinking withing the confines of the hotel. Wine is also well priced ($10 US for french during our stay). Overall the value for money is good, even if you are on a budget, as we were, this was money well spent."

"Nice tuktuk drivers, friendly staff - v helpful. Stairs not good for people with disability or small children. Pool side room nice. Close to town (prob not walking distance but tuktuk v cheap)."

"Stayed 2 nights in October 07, went with friends to see the Angkor Wat. The hotel is small but the room is large so is the bathroom. The breakfast was poor, small choise for dinner but the foods were very good. The only down side of the service that the staff did not tell us how dangerous the boat trip from there to Phnom Penh was. Will never go by boat again in Cambodia. "

"This small hotel is very pleasant in design; mood is like staying with family. Wonderful to sit at small Dining/Lounge by the Lotus pond or at cascading tiny swimming pool area to read or just let time pass by; Terrace rooms look out to pool/garden. Ideal for those who DO NOT care for huge international establishments; or limited choice of dining selection. Walking distance to Central market. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Auberge. We stayed in a Deluxe room which was very large and clean, with essentials such as a safe and cable television. However, it was missing a shower curtain which can get a bit messy! The pool is especially nice since it's so hot in Siem Reap and was seldom busy. We didn't try the massage services but they seemed reasonably priced at about $30 USD for 60 minutes. Internet service is available in the lobby at 30THB per 30 minutes which is reasonable. The breakfast was excellent, although a-la-carte lunch was average. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly and there is a lovely water feature to enjoy. The staff at the reception were also very friendly. All in all, the Auberge has everything you would expect from a nicer guest house, making it a good choice for budget-conscious travellers. However, it is probably not quite suitable for honeymoons or a romantic getaways. (For that reason, we switched to 5-star Sofitel after two nights at the Auberge.)"

"The staff were very friendly, but the hotel was not what I expected. The room was quite small and the bathroom very small, nowhere to even put your toothbrush. The breakfast was very limited, pancakes, meant one, to ask for two was okay, but three was beyond them. Though they arranged for a driver to visit the temples, I chose not to go a second day as the driver was quite arrongant and disapproving and didn't make for a nice day. There are no street lights or footpaths so to venture to town after dark was quite dangerous, so I didn't. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to singles at all."
