Good hotel valued for money....Hotel was undergoing upgrading & extension works during our stay, but without our knowing.
Believe it will be even better in the future.

| "We stayed three nights in this lovely hotel during our visit of Angkor. We had a nice time there, the location is very good - you can take a Tuk Tuk to the Temples and in the evening you can take a walk to the bars ans restaurants nearby. We had a superior room which was quite huge, simple, but good quality and very clean. The staff was very polite, the poolside is nice with view over Siem Reap - especially in the evening I enjoyed to swim there. Only the Internet is very slowly, but I guess, this is not a problem of the hotel but of Cambodia. I would stay in that hotel again and would recommend it to my frinds." |

| "City River was a good hotel. The location is away from the main action meaning that it is quiet. It is a short walk to the market and bars. The staff were helpful. " |

| "The hotel is in a good location near to the town centre, pub street (with it's many bars and restaurants) and the markets. It took us about five minutes to walk to these places but there were afew restarants and bars right next to the hotel for those who don't wish to venture far. There were always Tuk-tuks outside the hotel too ready to take you anywhere! We had delux rooms in the newer part of the hotel which were spacious and had a good balcony. We were disappointed at first that we didn't have a river view but the newer rooms without a view of the river, were much nicer. The roof top pool is a great place to chill out after shopping or temple visits and it has it's own bar. The view over the town was wonderful.Breakfast was ok.Free internet was available in the reception area. All in all good value for money. " |

| "my wife and i had the great pleasure of staying at the City River Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It is in a good location with plenty of restaurants close by. This is important, because the meals in the restaurant and the room-service meals are absolutely awful. We are in our 70's and after visiting Angkor all day in the heat and the dust, we just did not have the energy to go out for a meal at night.
The hotel is great, the staff very pleasant, breakfast very nice, the room cosy with a balcony, but the meals are just so bad that we had to mention it to the resident manager when we were there.
So enjoy your stay at the City River Hotel, but eat next door" |
