Hotel room is more spacious than expected.
My hubby is really thrilled by the huge bed and the soft pillows. We really enjoyed the chill-out music in the ipod. We did not even bother to switch on the TV. Staff were all polite and helpful.
We were surprised by the complimentary food & wine and the personalised letter from the manager on celebration of our wedding anniversary.
At the end of the end, we were also surpriced by the complimentary biscuits and chocolate fondue.
Very nice gesture from the hotel..
Location is great oo,, just right across the matket.

| "Extremely pleased with the room, hotel's location and service. It is pricey but worth it. We engaged the services of local guide, John Teng, and would recommend him over the free iPod guide from the hotel. " |

| "It was absolutely perfect. From the minute we got there until we left. Service is impeccable. The jasmine scent of the hotel is devine. The in room ipod music selection was very suited to the rustic Cambodian charm. The hotel is in walking distance to the old, wet and night markets and nearby amenities (banks, supermarkets, etc) Do get a angkor tour organised with the hotel, well worth it. If you are looking for a place to really relax and unwind, this is the hotel. Only one negative, mojitos should be made better." |

| "We stayed at Hotel de la Paix for two nights in May 2008 and would love to stay here again. This is a beautiful hotel, with a stunningly decorated lobby, hallways and gardens, and a very central location within walking distance to the main restaurant area and the night market. A short Tuk Tuk drive to Ankgor Wat. The bath in the room is amazing! You can fit two people in it side by side. The outdoor pool (with bar service!) is a perfect oasis in the midst of the humid bustle of the city. The service is absolutely impeccable. Overall standard of the room was very good: clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and tastefully decorated. The Ipod in the room was preloaded with some relaxing music which was a nice touch. The breakfast was very good with a range of both western and asian food. The overall experience was very good.
Negatives: The restaurant for dinner is VERY overpriced. You can eat out of the hotel for about 1 tenth of the price! Also the spa treatments/massage: go across the road to the beauty salon there instead. Also the hotel car service is overpriced. You are better off getting a tuk tuk everywhere, even to the airport with luggage and all they cope very well." |
