"Maintenance (built-in radio and watch, but also replacing of defective light bulbs) seems to be a problem, but does not effect the guests TOO much. The really necessary things worked very well or were complete. We did not like the shower curtain. Although it was clean, it was a bit too worn out. Otherwise good, no complaints. BG"

"Had 3 nights at this hotel including Christmas. Overall,a very reasonable hotel for the price.Staff are friendly and helpful. The only drawback is the food which was generally bland;the buffet breakfast was the same every morning, and needed more creative flair to make it and other meals more tasty. However, overall a good hotel."

"Our experience at the Princess Angkor was consistent with the reviews on AsiaRooms. The staff were fantastic - really helpful and courteous. For the price we paid, the rooms were perfect. Our daughter particularly enjoyed the pool - it was small but just the right side and wonderfully warm. The food at the hotel restaurant was decent but a bit expensive - the breakfast that came with the room was however really good particularly the local breakfast dishes. I would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a quite nice but moderately priced hotel."

"The room was ok, and the swiming pool better. Location is a little far, 2 km from down town siem reap. The beakfast is very poor, at the weekend improve a little bit. Finally the service was not espected for a 4 stars hotel. I wouldn't spend my money in that hotel."

"Advantages : Friendly and helpful staff, close to the airport, nice view (you can see the Angkor Wat from the 4th floor). The room is nice for the price we paid. Breakfast is included. Not too far from the restaurants and Pub street. There is even a safe provided in the room. Swimming pool is nice. Water from the shower is not hot enough. Water in the bath tub do no drain away fast enough. Pleasant experience, I would recommend the hotel to others."

"Princess Angkor turned out to be better than we have expected. Room was very clean, staff are very friendly, approchable and always smiling. Breakfast was not that fantastic though but still acceptable. Mushroom porridge is nice there. It's situated pretty near to the airport about 15 mins drive but quite a distance from the central market and Angkor Wat. Siem reap is an magical place with countless of temples scattered around. The place is quite safe as long as you dont wander alone in the streets at night. there are many nice french and local resturants littered around the town. Food would not be a problem. The temple sites are very near siem reap town, accessible by taxi and tut-tut. Its cheaper to flag a taxi by the road rather than hiring one through hotel. To rent a taxi a day cost abt US$20. Tut-tut would varies abt US$10-$15 depending on ur negotiotating skills. Alternatively, u can also travel by motorbikes. If you want to travel comfortably, hiring a taxi would be a much better choice as it saves u from dust, heat & sudden heavy shower. Temples worth visiting are Ta Phrom(where Tomb Raider was filmed), Banteay Srei(only temple built in pink sandstone), The Bayon(temple with 216 buddha faces), the Bahuon, Angkor Thom & of cos the amazing Angkor Wat. There is oso a famous hill temple where a lot of tourists would visit to see the sunset. The view is magnificence. You can oso visit the the waterfall near Banteay Srei temple & the Mekong Lake where a mixture of thai, vietman & and cambodia people live. They have a floating school, police station, barber, restaurants. people living on the Mekong Lake are pretty poor and you will definitely enocunter poor children of very young age sitting on plastic basins & using only wooden rods as boat & ores rowing to your boat begging for money. Might be advisable to bring some sweets or fruits to give them instead. Siem Reap is a place definitely worth visiting. However the downside about visiting Cambodia is it might turn out to be more expensive than you would have expected because everything is in US denominated. Shops do accept thai baht. Bring lots of US $1 bills, they will come in handy. And traveling in shoes is recommendable as you will do alot of walking and climbing very very narrow staircases up the temples. so narrow that you can only climbed sideways up slowly using the walls or the stairs as support. Nevertheless, it is worth visiting. Angkor Wat is magical during sunrise and sunset."

"The Hotel is wonderful, Food is great, lovely pool. I can't think of any negative points. You are treated with the upmost respect by all the staff, nothing is too much trouble for them, the stay was perfect, we watched the sunste from our foom which was awesome. I would definately recomend it, you are only 10 mins to the Angkor sites."

"it was a plesant stay at the hotel, the rooms were very spacious and equipped with all the toiletries etc..they have very helpful and friendly staffs..I also had a good massage in their Health Spa, but perhaps it would be better if they lower down the pricing on the massages."

"All staffs were polite and smiled that made me feel pleasant. Some of them were helpful, when I read my travel guide book in the lobby, they approached to me and asked "May I help you?" I was very surprised! (they don't "ask for" tips, I believe) Although the hotel had no more facilities and the swimming pool was small, I satisfied for the large room size and nice breadfast buffet. For a 3 star hotel, I would recommand it as I had good memory for the staffs and their services. "
