| "We stayed at this hotel in January 2009. Hotel is located about 15 minutes walk from the Bar street area, on a busy road junction, but there was no noise in the rooms that faced into the central pool area. Not sure if outward facing rooms would be effected.
There is also a signifcant amount of road works on the route to the bar street, making the use of a stroller a little inconvenient. However, its still a pleasant / easy walk.
All the hotel staff were excellent. The hotel is well maintained, run very professionally and the salt water pool is excellent.
Apart from breakfast, the only meal we had in the hotel was at the Irish bar. The food was good quality, but 3 times the price of eating outside - fairly normal for a hotel!
The breakfast is good, with a large choice, but I would not agree with some of the previous comments that the breakfast is outstanding.
The hotel is not an international standard 5 star hotel. If you came here thinking it will be like the Hilton, you will be disappointed. However, if you are planning a stay in Siem Reap (highly recommended) and want a good standard of hotel, which is run professionally, with staff that are helpful and speak good English, then I would certianly recommend this hotel. If I return I will likely stay at the Sokha Angkor again." |

| "This was one of the best places in which we stayed while in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Although a little expensive the value was outstanding. Breakfast buffet was wonderful, staff was helpful at all times, the spa and its prices were the best we found on our trip and the salt-water pool was terifice. Two thumbs way up" |

| "My family and i had a wonderful stay here at Sokha Angkor Hotel just this March! Room has a balcony with pool view. The pool is big and beautiful and relaxing. Beautiful interior and architectural structure. The staff friendly and competent. Breakfast buffet is for westerners (sorry, no rice for chinese people like me:)Lots of tuk-tuks outside. Only 5-10 minutes away from pub street and night market. About 15 minutes away from the archaeological park. Highly recommended!" |
