This was a great location, by the Central Market & walking distance from Psar Chaa (Old Market). The hotel helped arrange tour guide and car rental for visiting the temples, all went smoothly without any problems. There was some difficulty in arranging my request with a specific company that I had requested to Tonle Sap. I later found out it was the tour company's phone system. I later arranged the tour myself thru use of the business center, which had very reasonable rates for computer and internet use. The hotel was beautiful, and coming back to the pool in the afternoon during June/July - was a welcomed way to finish the day after walking around Angkor Wat. Laundry services were also prompt and reliable. An excellent hotel, I would stay there again. Thank you.

| "I have nothing to complain about this hotel.Everythinig is perfect for the price I paid.I have visited a few hotels nearby. Some of them are more luxrious than this one,but price can be double. The food this hotel provided even better than restaurants outside and the price is quite reasonable. Thank you very much, asiarooms.Surely I will book hotels through you for the vacation next time!" |

| "We read the net over and discovered Asiarooms. We are absolutely satisfied with the Asiarooms' service. Somadevi Angkor is right smack in the middle of Siem Reap downtown. It's 10 mins' walk to the old and night markets and pub avenue cafes and restaurants. It's probably 30 mins' brisk walk to the Angkor complex but tuktuks are aplenty for USD1 per ride in any case. Use of the biz centre is USD3/hr - which is a far cry from the other 5-6 star hotels in the area who'd charge USD30 per hour! Also, a one hour body massage or foot massage costs only USD10 in-house (their in-house trained masseuses have strong, firm strokes and do wonders to tired feet after a full day of walking about the Angkor complex) whereas the other hotels charge USD50 for the same thing. We are overall very pleased with our choice of hotel. Although the staff forgot to send a taxi to pick us up despite our explicit request over a long-distance call the night before (he apologised with "It's my fault. I forgot.") And they don't completely understand English all that well (our request for the same masseuse at the same place by the pool ended with a different masseuse knocking at our hotel room door instead even though the person who arranged it sounded very confident of our special request). Nonetheless, Siem Reapians are easy-going by nature and honest. They do not mean to do any harm or cause any inconvenience. Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was satisfactory. We enjoyed ourselves and would return to Somedevi Angkor Hotel. It's great value for money especially if you're only spending early mornings and evenings in the hotel. The pool is enticing. " |

| "This is a beautiful hotel in a great location (about 5-10 mins walk from Pub St and the markets). The staff are very friendly too. We had a pool view room which was modern and spacious. For the price, this hotel definately exceeded our expectations. Would abosolutely recommend." |

| "The room was quite new, big & roomy. Bed was firm & sheets were clean. Bathroom was big & clean. There was a bath tub and a separate shower. We had an upgrade to a room with an open terrace on level #5, which would be good for kids to run about. The restaurant menu was decent. Siem Reap is not a very big city, Somadevi was about 10min away from the Central/Night/Old markets and very walkable. The pool is very nice and we regreted not bringing our bathing suits. Staff was friendly and speaks English well.
Overall it was a great deal for the price we paid. We definitely recommend it." |
