This hotel was a good standard in terms of location, quality and cleanliness. The furnishings in the rooms were a little tired but it was in a pretty good location and had all the facilities you would expect from a good quality hotel. One criticism was that the hotel pool is outside and was not available when we visited in October which was a disappointment and not mentioned in the hotel information before we booked. Had I know that before I booked I would probably have chosen a different hotel. However, the breakfasts were good as was the Chinese restaurant in the hotel - excellent standard of food.

| "I really enjoyed the stay at the Courtyard Marriot Beijing, the only thing is, what i really don't like is the poor Breakfast. Everyday almost the same Food, also the Food items are not top quality.
The Location is perfect, located in a Shopping mall with many Food location around. The MRT station straith away in back of house. 15min to forbidden City and Wanjing area.
The Rooms are well equippet and on very good condition. The kind of new smell of the Furniture and facade is still there. The Gym- Fitness room is a bit fare away, it's outside the Hotel on top of Shopping mall. But, the facilities are very well and comfortable.
Don't aspect to speak english with the Taxi Driver. Prepare you well with Books and maps, for to show the chinese written words, the Taxi driver. So it's easely to travel around.

| "This is my second time in this hotel, well the first time pay for a executive room -nothing much- ...now with asia rooms, get surprise the poor condition of the room, terrible room, did not work the internet, change 2 times of room, -dont take the 2,3,4,5,6 floors- the smoke and the smell was terrible, finally i get a executive room no extra charge-nothing much- but the ubication of the hotel is excelent, this hotel is in renovation now. About the service, the service is good but again the stuff dont speak english, dont use the taxi of the hotel,use the card of the hotel ...but for the ubication is ok, and the chinese breakfast dinsan is good!!! No for families, good for budget." |

| "Kind of disappointed with the hotel room, small especially the bathroom. The entrance is at the back lane, not so nice to walk especially at night. However, the location was good, surrounded by shopping ctr. I been to better value for money hotels in beijing. Most probably will not stay there again." |

| "spent five nights at the courtyard and very much enjoyed my stay. the breakfast was included in the price and was excellent. lots of choices for westerners and good coffee and tea. it was my fifth stay in beijing and i have found most hotels do not provide adequate coffee and tea at their breakfast buffet, but the courtyard did. front desk staff spoke good english. the rooms were clean. the staff friendly. it was sometimes difficult to get a cab, but not sure if was because of the time of day or if it was the hotel location. most taxi drivers knew the hotel so there was no problem with directions. would stay again with my family. the only down point was the carpets in the hallways were in poor shape, but in the rooms themselves, the carpeting was fine." |
