| "When I arrived, they had no idea I was coming, and they didn't have a room ready. To their credit, they respected the asiarooms booking, but made me pay for breakfast which was included.
The room was pretty clean, had a safe, fresh towels, a table and TV (that only had chinese stations). Bathroom had a bath/shower and toilet, and was a bit run down.
Internet was available downstairs(pay per minute), and there was a small shop where you could buy gifts / stamps etc. The breakfast was reasonably good, but 45 yuan extra. One person spoke english fluently at reception, but if she wasn't working it took a bit of toing and froing to get understood.
The location was alright - a bit out of the way, but not too bad. It's a 500m straight line walk to the nearest subway station, which gets you everwhere. It's 5mins from the aquarium and zoo. There's a public square just down the road which comes to life at night with hundres of people dancing, flying kites and playing a type of hacky sack.
Overall it was reasonable, but I would recommend you email to make sure they know you're coming.

| "The room is surprisingly spacious. Equipped with basic facilities like TV, Internet, the bathroom comes with a bathtub and generally in good cleanliness. However it lack spa facilities and gymnasium. Have not tried out the restaurant yet.
The Internet rate was capped at RMB50 per day and had further discount for the month of May because of Labour Day’s promotion.
The staffs were well trained on smiles and greetings, unlike the city people, and speak decent English and are helpful enough to my queries.
There’s a travel agency at the hotel that does day tour to the Great Wall and such. It is on the high side, not recommended for local tours. One may book a decent day tour around Forbidden City than from the hotel.
Located outside 2nd ring, the hotel is located conveniently next to Beijing Zoological Garden and diagonally across is the garment wholesale district, which one can find good flea on lower-end fashion.
I’ve tried walking my way to Forbidden City from the hotel and proved it to be possible.
Overall, it is worth the price I’m paying for 3nights of about RMB1300." |

| "Rustige lokatien tegen een wat eenvoudige omgeving. Redelijk ver van het centrum. Kamers zijn eenvoudig voor de prijs die je er voor geeft." |

| "Price/quality-wise very good. Friendly staff, assistent manager speaks english very well. Chinese breakfast is nice, they even have toast and jam, 'western' breakfast ok but overpriced." |
