Harmony is an older hotel, but very well located, next to the railway station and close to the subway lines 1 and 2. Parts of the hotel are renovated, as eg the bathrooms, the elevator, etc. The room I had (on the 6th floor) was clean and large. The staff at the reception is nice and helpful, but you need to speak to them slowly. The restaurant un the hotel is good. The only drawbacks were that there are no non-smoking rooms available in the hotel and the bed was extremely hard. It is definitely a very good value for the money.

| "The room was really old style and the carpet needs to be replaced, as well as all the other staff. The bathroom smells bad after having a shower and it needs to be renovated too. We stayed in two rooms and in of the two the window was broken and we haven't been able to lock it. The breackfast is more asian style than western. Don't expect too much. The staff was gentle, even if only few of them can speak english. The location is the best point of this hotel, very close to Beijing station and to the Forbidden city. It's a good place for budget travellers." |
