"Excellent hotel with useful restaurants. Some items priced ridulously high eg a cup of China tea- even for Hilton"

" My son and I stayed for 5 nights in June, 2006. A big portion of the hotel was closed due to major renovation. None of the hotel restaurants has reopened, so the only source of food was the Atrium Cafe above the lobby, which was opened 24 hours. The only drawback was walking up the flight of stairs to the cafe; don't know why accommodations for the disabled. Breakfast was wonderful, with a combination of Western (eggs, bacon, ham, toast) and Chinese (congee, soy milk, dumplings); there was a station to order eggs or omelettes, as well as noodles in soup. For about $20 US, the breakfast kept us satisfied through a day of sightseeing and shopping. Next to the hotel is a Japanese restaurant that was reasonably priced and served tasty food. Our room was spacious with twin beds, a desk, and a soft chair. The TV offered CNN, ESPN, HBO, and Star movies. The bathroom was big, with both a shower and a tub, along with ample counter space. The front desk had a little initial trouble locating our reservation by name, but quickly found it using the confirmation number. The service desk was very helpful with directions and dinner reservations. The hotel was nice enough to offer a large screen to watch World Cup matches each night at 9 pm, midnight, and 3 am. Simple snacks were provided, and beverages were available for purchase."

"Spent 3 nights at Hilton in September. Some bad practices in Hotel. The use of Gym is free, however you must pay extra to use the Steam room. In the Sui Yuan restaurant, if you order whole Peking duck you get 3 courses, however if you order half Peking duck you get only one course, even though the price is halved. If you have the misfortune to leave your mobile in your hotel room, housekeeping cannot find it ! It disappears."

"I have been heavily disturbed by ongoing renovation works in the hotel. Very bad experience. will not stay at hilton beijing anymore as full price has been charged for this unpleaseant stay  "
