4/5  Posted by MRS. WALKER, Karen, United States in May 2008
"I've stayed in the hotel three times in the past year. It is well located and the staff is courteous. The price is great for the location. The quality of the food, however, has deteriorated drastically since May 07. Some of it was unfit to eat during my most recent stay (May 08)."

"This hotel was great! Good location, nice and big rooms and friendly staff. If I'm going back to Beijing, I will definitively stay here again. Good value for the money - highly recommended!"

"This hotel was a superb one for the four of us during our stay in Beijing. The location was wonderful: shops and food eadily available nearby, easy access into central Beijing and taxis readily available. The rooms were double-glazed, so former comments about road noise maybe outdated. Hotel staff were excellent at sorting out with taxi drivers where we wished to go, and offering advice. The breakfasts were excellent: fresh and with plenty of selection. Plenty of other restaurants nearby - pertiocularly for families with children. We would certainly stay here again."

"Location was good, near to the famous Xiu Shui Jie and train station. Room was clean, the staffs there were friendly and services were excellent. In short, value for money."

"The hotel room I was first allocated was on the front side of the hotel and was very noisy with traffic from the busy road outside. The hotel gave no problems about me changing to the back side of the hotel which was much quieter. The hotel rooms are fine. Location is very good. The only real negative is breakfast - the restaurant is too small for the number of guests so the guests are piled on top of each other. The choice of food was also limited - almost no fresh fruit for example. "

"I can certainly recommend this hotel."

"This was my first stay at the Jinglun and I would definitely stay there again. I have stayed at two other 4-star hotels in Beijing and the Jinglun deserves that rating . The hotel was exceptional for the price charged because of its renovations-it is usually much less expensive than other 4-stars, meaning, GOOD VALUE. The room was well equipped with a safe, frig, chairs and 65+ channel TV and felt larger than average in size. Although the bathroom was small, it was very clean and well equiped with all the toiletries you could want. Hot water was available in less than 5 seconds. I asked for a quiet room in the back--although the view was a blank wall 10 feet from my window, boy, was it quiet! The staff was friendly and accomodating and spoke enough English-they gladly let me check out 2 hours late at 14:00 because I had a 17:30 flight and they cheerfully made change for 100 Yuan notes (most hotels in China do both grudgingly). The included huge breakfast buffet was very good with fresh fruit, cooked to order eggs, bacon, sausage, plus the usual Chinese specialities. The location was ideal-150 meters from the Yong'anli subway station and 200 meters from the Silk Market. The friendly neighboorhood restaurant with the 3 Yuan beers just 40 meters NE of the Jinglun made for a nice nightcap. Go for it! "

"Our stay at the hotel was wonderful The service was exceptional and equal to any 5-star hotel Rooms were newly renovated, every little detail attended to by the staff. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, they made our stay most enjoyable. I would definately recommend the hotel to anyone. The location is great for accessing all the sites, from markets, to the Forbidden city... Highly recommended - you will enjoy the Jinglun hotel. I definately will return. Thanks for the opportunity to tell everyone about your hospitality."

"Very helpful friendly staff. Second time I used AsiaRooms to book Beijing Hotels. I like your rates."

"I was told that this hotel had great service. A lot better than what we are used to in Europe and Noth-America. So, I took a safe choice, because a friend of mine lived hear twice in the late 90s. I was disappointed about the service. The room, the lobby and the restaurants was below OK. It HAS been a nice hotel I guess, but now it seems like they milk the last out of the tourist before they start some serious work on this building. The location was great though. Very convenient. And the price was OK. I would definitely paid some more to get at lot better, or find another hotel in the same price range. Not a good choice - anymore. The staffs English is far from good, and their service attitude is far from good. You will survive, but pick something else if possible!"
