For a five star hotel, the service was the poorest I have received. The hotel staff were inconsistent regarding tour prices (and seemed to be taking a cut off the top of our taxi arrangement to see the Great Wall), and were unresponsive to requests. Very few staff had English-speaking ability, which makes it hard for travelers who do not speak Mandarin. The rooms and food was fine, but the rooms had poor ventilation and no air-conditioning. Definitely not worth the five star price paid, even with the on-line discount we received.
